What do you mean?

Are you referring to the usual R-77, R-27R/ER, R-27T/ET bit, then of course China has them, in fact recently received a new batch as part of a long term supply contract.

no, I don't think there is a need for such AAMs either. India is not equipped with any either. KS-172 is not in service anywhere.

No, China has no super long range AAM against AWACs or something, though theoritically, the YJ-91---a ramjet missile that is a Kh-31P clone---might be used against AWACS targets.

China was offered only Backfires, and no I don't think China would purchase them.

china still might get them but i think they are going to buy the Su-34 because they are a flanker format. Its going to be alot easier to train and integrate it into the chinese air force.

Are china's j-xx and india's mca just a dream or a reasonable goal?

When do you think they will come out? Round by 5 years?

Not a reasonable goal within 5 or even 10 years. 15 maybe.

The Backfire or Blackjacks are unlikely, but the Su-34 is a far more likely buy. Actually I think China might end up copying its own.

The isrealis began weapon exporting to china again. They are ignoring american threats and etc. Will china get any avionics and new missiles for the J-10.

and is the A-11(r-77) short range missile better than the pychone 4 missile.

is pschone 4 better than a-11?

so what do you think is better gf0012-aust?

With isreal weapons sales with china going again i think it is time to aquire some decent western tech

since the j-10 was based on Lavi techonology would the j-10 benefit by buying all of its techs. or is it already better than the orginal Lavi. i know the radar would definitely benefit.

I made a major mistake on old news. The LCA is accually flying. It made its like 200 or something test flight. It went mach 1.4. The major issue is still the Kavari engine. Good job india for making a decent jet fighter.

So you might see the LCA finaaly go into production in two years.
currently it is going into high altitude and high speed and edurance tests in mother russia.

look i am dick chaney :soldier

you are again making a very major mistake ,lca has completed 502 test flight, the variants that have been test flown are td1,td2,pvi and pv2(the weapons integrated one),however weapons integration on pv2 is still going on,some modifications were made in these aircrafts including reducing their weight by 600kgs thus enabling an empty weight of 5500kgs,these modifications have already been certified by the indian airforce's defence certification authority cemilac.

for more upto date information on lca including the date of the last test flight
and the number of test flights check out www.ada.gov.in .

I just read the thread. didnt zoolander say no logistics.

Oviously china dont have many air bases near India. There is nothing to protect. Anyways there is a couple of nukes pointed at multiple cities in India. Y dont we point that out.

China's airforce has gone a long way. It needs more western techs.

India's airforce has also gone a long way. It has imported techs but not a good indigious techs

Both need to modernize

No one is going to use Nukes ever again unless they're militants. If one nuke goes off, it will be mutual destruction for the world.

srev one nuke is not going to destroy the world. Its not even for sure if all of them went off the world would be destroyed. If you want to read some scary stuff research the nuclear accidents and false alerts both we and the Soviets had during the cold war,"let alone the confrontations". At least during that period Commie and Yank hegemony and detente were a stabilizing factor in the rest of the world.

And the future? The future will bring more members in the club almost all of which will be nations ran by Dictators who will answer to no one but themselves. They will not have the standards of command/control/security/Personnel reliability that the Western Democracies have. Their nuclear assets will be on hair trigger alert because their enemies missiles will only be minutes and seconds away. Terrorists will continue to be a threat to purchase WMDs on the worlds black market, tho most probably it will be in the form of a radiological dispersal weapon.

I don't think there is any question that they will be used again. The world is getting more dangerous not less and if we don't get a handle on it now our children are facing a nightmare future.
