Excellant pictures, a good looking tank regardless of type of camo she is sporting.I found the photos of the danish Leopard IIA5DK in desert camo.

Could these be some additional photo`s, the suspense is driving me nutty.:lol2The only existing photo of T-95 MBT being carried by a heavy transport vehicle. Unfortunately it's covered up exposing only the barrel of the gun.
I think that they place alot of confidence in Kaktus armor protection levels. Is it just me or does the frontal ERA protection is not as wide covered as the crew should want it to be?
I would think that they can do this seeings how it looks like they have gone with a new redesigned hull.I thought more about the frontal hull.
You are right when stating that the turret benefits from the Katus attachements.
DU are used in sabots for cannons as they have a much higher density than steel. to fire sabots one need a smooth bored gun as they are usually fin stabilized and thats because of rotation stabilization is not the way to go with long projectiles. Can anyone explain me what relation have DU rounds and rifled/smoothbored guns? I cant see any...
Yes DU is the way to go, but a KE penetrator fired out of a rifled bore is also fin stabilized and doesn`t lack much in performance.DU are used in sabots for cannons as they have a much higher density than steel. to fire sabots one need a smooth bored gun as they are usually fin stabilized and thats because of rotation stabilization is not the way to go with long projectiles.
DU is a type of Kinetic Energy round, there was trials for the 105mm type spiral bored canon but I don't think they were very successful. I don't think its possible to use fin stabilization while rotating.Yes DU is the way to go, but a KE penetrator fired out of a rifled bore is also fin stabilized and doesn`t lack much in performance.
We were using fin stabilized sabots for years in the 105mm, its all in the design of the rotating bands on the projectile. Both smoothbore and rifled sabots will give you pedal seperation between 200 - 300 meters after leaving the gun tube thus operating within the same performance parameters.DU is a type of Kinetic Energy round, there was trials for the 105mm type spiral bored canon but I don't think they were very successful. DU is NOT the way to go because of the environmental hazards upon impact. I would rather see wolfram or other hard metal instead of DU.
Challenger has a rifled gun & fin-stabilised ammo. Also Arjun. And there's a wide variety of finstabilised ammo made for other rifled guns, e.g. 105mm (as Eckherl said), used by various armies, 100mm, used in T-55 variants . . . etc, etc.DU is a type of Kinetic Energy round, there was trials for the 105mm type spiral bored canon but I don't think they were very successful. That is Black Eagle. Not T-95, same goes for the latter photos.Could these be some additional photo`s, the suspense is driving me nutty.:lol2
Then what is the Russian military designated model number for Black Eagle. That is Black Eagle. Not T-95, same goes for the latter photos.
T-80UM2Then what is the Russian military designated model number for Black Eagle.
So then we are to assume that Saudi Arabia has had a showing of a different tank model besides Black Eagle.T-80UM2
Yes as it seems Saudies are interested in T-95 (who knows what will be its new designation) whitch is radicaly new concept but just as posible is journalist typo. So Russians are according to later coments very confident they will won the concrat and only that we will be sure.So then we are to assume that Saudi Arabia has had a showing of a different tank model besides Black Eagle.
I bet it was a typo error, it is official that Saudi Arabia will be purchasing around 150 T-90`s.Yes as it seems Saudies are interested in T-95 (who knows what will be its new designation) whitch is radicaly new concept but just as posible is journalist typo. Even though Saudi Arabia has good relations with Pakistan, I cannot see them going to the Al Khalid. They are fully aware of some of the limitations that are a issue with the T-80 or T - 72 series vehicles which in a nut shell is basically what this is with a twist/modifications package from China.I think Saudi Arabia consider Lecrerc and Al khalid because they have alrady started to try Al khalid main battle tank.
