Re: 2015 and "Pakistan Air Force"

Their ability to be a copy-cat (as you would say) and still beat your so-called 'innovative" country to it in every sector!! Their ability to improve their living standards majorly as compared to yours. Their rate of literacy and hygeine as compared to yours. Need I go on?

Wow. So you do indeed worship cheats and theives than compared to those who put in an honest effort. Time will tell who succeeds and survives..

Though 'worship' is not the correct word to use here; I'd let you off the hook since you're a rookie. Time is already telling!! How much more does 'your' country need? This is certainly not the age of innovation by countries like yours or mine because what you'll discover tomorow, has most probably been discovered by the major global players decades ago. I dont see any need to waste that much time when you can already 'buy' the tech from abroad and work on those to improve on them!!

Unrelated topic responses will be deleted. Get your act together everyone. This tit for tat responding is going nowhere.

If you can't behave civilly towards each other, and can't stop baiting each other I'll lock the thread for a while. I've got better things to do than sit back and edit out the sarcasm and inappropriate comments.

2015 PAF.

F-16 70
JF-17 200
Mirage 2000-5 40
f-7 150
j-10 50

and to top it up by 2020 we should have 50 gripens. :D:

wont the gripens be outdated by then, or do u mean a newer version
Grippens just recently went through a complete upgrade with Pahsed array radar, and new sub component and simplified cockpit outlay. i would say the Grippen is one of the most advance Jets out in production in Europe. Its a true 4 gen fighter, i doubt it can be counted as an old AC in respect to Mirage 2005 which happens to be very old!!. but the only thing that held frippen back is its cost, and swede attitude in selling such a piece of weapon to the bigg buyers.

naaaaah i say
55 J-10s
150 JF-17s
65 Su-27s/J-11s
90 Mirages
55 JH-7
i think the J-11 are a possibility, but only if the chinese would be willing to setup a assembly line, pak seams to be trying for indiginization, further proof paying more attention to JF-17 rather then J-10

I dont think pak would be eager to start an assembly for J-11s. Its too sophisticated an aircraft for kamra which has yet to start production of the JF-17. Last i heard the assembly line for the K-8 had been scrapped. The reason i dont know. It doesnt make sense. Youd want to start out with a simple plane like a K-8 and then go on for a JF-17 type aircraft for an embroynic aircraft industry. :? :? :?

i think they should scrap out all of it and try and get an assembly line for F-16 like turkey has!!

naaaah manufacturing spares and components would be better for a country like us.
i think F-16 are fairly simple Aircraft to Manufacture, simple cheap and effective. Its assembly line should proove very profitable especially to the Exsisting GCC clients, the US should see the obvious Business opportunity, the french and the chinese have seen it!

The F-16 market is over saturated. Wed have better luck marketting the JF-17 and the K-8 or maybe some upgrade packages and overhauls for aircraft like Mirages and F-16s.

If the USA hardly give us spare parts to the F-16's then i don't see how they would let us build it. :(

I think that pakistan should just stick to those K-8's and JF-17's for now ;)

According to the latest figures, I think the PAF has a better chance looking like this by 2015;
  • 55 Mirage 2000-5Mk2 - 4bn US Dollars
  • 75 J-10A/B - 3bn US Dollars
  • 70 Mirage ROSE I/II/III
  • 200 JF-17 - 5bn US Dollars

Re: 2015 and "Pakistan Air Force"

Corsair, Kamra hardly produces anything related to aircrafts!! Its the PAC that is responsible for production of things related to aircraft and by 2006-07, it is expected to produce 48% of the stuff that will go in to the Jf-17. :smokingc:

i think that after PAC has gained experience from buildin the JF-17 it should be able to build much better stuff in the near future :smokingc:
