Qatar bought 4 of the last 5, the last one hasn't found an owner so far.I think that the last C-17 went to Qatar.

Cool, if that's the case then maybe we should get kiwi roundels painted on it.Qatar bought 4 of the last 5, the last one hasn't found an owner so far.
I wish the RAAF picked it up larger pool to spread hours over. There seems to be conflicting stories about this last whitetail C-17. Most stories report the last C-17 was being outfitted in Texas for Qatar to bring their fleet to 5 jets. Then there is the Dec 2016 story saying India will get the last jet bringing their fleet to 11 jets. I guess spotters need to go to both locations for confirmation.
The link for India's claimed acquisition is below.

How has faults with A400 M affected operations i wonder with RAF or other operators? Is it such a big deal still to affect a sale to Nz, or has the stuation improved somewhat?I wish the RAAF picked it up larger pool to spread hours over.
Well that all depends on which role you buy the A400 to do tactical or Stratigic, whilst there are still some concerns I guess it would be usefull in the stratigic role now.How has faults with A400 M affected operations i wonder with RAF or other operators? The RAAF has 8 and the RCAF has 5 so we should have got it.I wish the RAAF picked it up larger pool to spread hours over.
See the A400M thread regarding the latest news regarding the engine fix. Also on this thread is Airbus's concerns WRT penalties. IMHO, begging the USAF for a couple of their jets would be less risky and other better capability. Might even keep the "Donald" happy for awhile. How has faults with A400 M affected operations i wonder with RAF or other operators? What was the reason Canada didnt select A400 M then? Given C17 isnt in production anymore and i seriously doubt Usa will sell some of thier reserves given how stretched they are with all the conflicts they are in.The RAAF has 8 and the RCAF has 5 so we should have got it.
1st A400M (2007)was only being built for test and evaluation from Airbus, RCAF stratgic loft program had its genisis in 2002 A400M was only a paper airplane then compared to C17, and 1st C17 in RCAF colours was 2007.What was the reason Canada didnt select A400 M then? Really!!!! An X wing from Star Wars? There is likely more chance of an X Wing than the F35 or Viper.
Well done, dreams are made of stuff like this LOL
TBH that X-wing looks good with a kiwi on its side, and so do the rest of them.Thanks. Glad you liked it. It's 1st April and thought time for some fun and see who bit. :rotfl If the X-wing wasn't included people might've taken it too seriously I've been teaching myself how to do repaints in the flight simulator FSX, so that's how I managed to do the graphics.
I wonder if this more on the amount of use the helicopters are getting has more to do with it than the brand itself.Wonder how bad it really is.

So how much are they getting used? Are you suggesting we now overuse them because we have less physical numbers? We had the hueys for decades but they did'nt fail due to "use".I wonder if this more on the amount of use the helicopters are getting has more to do with it than the brand itself.
Which wouldnt be surprising at all to me as we have so few of them, like the hercs in that respect.
