Hi. This is the THIRD time I tried to post this, so hopefully third time lucky!
I'm a 50ish yo Brit. with, through a very good history teacher and my model making hobby. a lifelong interest in all things military, mainly WW2 British and German armour, post war British, German and US armour; not too hot on Warpact stuff, although some of their multi-wheel artillery pieces, such as the 152mm SpGH Dana I find fascinating for some reason.
Here's a short list of some of my favourite peices of armour. although I really like anything big, green,(panzer grey/sand), and heavy! Always first JagdPanther, the best looking AFV of WW2, maybe ever, IMO, (will this start another thread?). Then in no particular order:
Churchill AVRE; Stug III Ausf F; Challenger; Merkava; Sd.Kfz 234/2 Puma; Vheiftain; Rhino G6 SP howitzer, (looks like something out of Thunderbirds!); Pz.Kpfw IV and all its variants, (one of the most versatile AFVs of WW2); Centurion; Abrams; any flak tank; any ARV, (no idea why!); Sd.Kfz 232 Fu, (I'd LOVE to own one of these!); Sd.Kfz 251 and all its variants.
See you around, maybe.

Hi everyone!

Obviously, I'm new here. Just like a lot of people here, I regret the fact that I didn't join the military so I have to be content with joining a forum where I can discuss military topics with like-minded individuals.

I've been browsing for quite some time now and it's now time for me to join in on the discussions! Looking forward to my stay here!

G'day guys. Welcome to the forum.

SpazSinbad, you've got to meet the minimum 50 posts, before certain website functionality is opened up ie: the ability to post hyperlinks etc, private messaging features etc.

Hope you like the joint nonetheless...

Hi:

Vietnam era vet, currently practicing law in California. I'm also a pilot, and have pretty much traveled most of the world in my plane (not a jet, at least yet). The name is for a car that I own, and I used that name on other forums, so at my advanced age, it makes it easier to sign in, etc., even though the name probably isn't appropriate to this forum.

I am interested in the forums regarding defense, and hopefully, I'll learn a bit from the reading of the posting here. Thanks for letting me post here.

Hey can I have a moderator PM me? I want to have something I want to post on the forums cleared by someone higher up.
PM a moderator yourself :)

They're the chaps with the names in red and dark red (almost brown on some screens), if you trawl through a few threads you'll find one sooner or later. Hell, there's 2 on this page in this thread!

Or alternatively, you can read the forum rules and see if your post conflicts with any of them, then if not - go ahead.

Hey can I have a moderator PM me? I want to have something I want to post on the forums cleared by someone higher up.
You can't PM anyone at the moment, as newly hatched members with less than 50 posts do not have this function turned on. There is no need to PM me or any other Mod on your future posts.

The Mod Team has already deleted a one-liner from you (which showed that you did not read the rules before posting). And you just posted a one-liner in reply to RobWilliams, in violation of forum rules, again. People who can't read and follow basic instructions from other forum members do not do well in this forum. One of the key features of this forum is that it is moderated and there is a minimum standard expected. Make sure you read the forum rules before posting again (in particular, rule 20), or we could ban you for a rule violation, in the near future.

Warning issued to MatthewAngel.

I'll be travelling from today, for a period, and will not entertain further messages/posts from you. I leave you in the good hands of the rest of the Mod Team.
