Given the amount of tender love and care that the Bulava had gotten recently from MoD in terms of oversight, this is not at all surprising.

The 15th test launch of R-30 (Bulava) missile will take place on June 15-16 from Akula-class sub. In case if the upcoming launch and the 16th one are successfull, the 17th test launch will be performed from 'Yuri Dolgoruki'.

Meanwhile, on May 20 the successfull maiden test flight of the 'Liner' missile (improved SS-N-23) took place. Looks like the missile season-2011 began.

Well because it was stalled in negotiations earlier. It looked, for a while, like it might not go through after all. The Russian side kept insisting on price conditions, and on the SENIT-9. The French were not so accommodating.

The submarine "Dmitrii Donskoy" Leaving the harbor on June 6.
Is it time for a new Bulava test?

At 3:03 you can see the two other Typhoon submarines in the background left in reserv.

Been reading some rumors about a possible future Russian destroyer class, the Project 21956.

Does anyone have any info on this ship?

They're getting the SENIT 9 after all.

EDIT: STX together with USC are building the new shipyards in Kotlin island, St. Petersburg. They will be called the New Admiralty Shipyard, and will be capable of constructing ships of up to 200 000 tonns.Ownership will be 30% on the Koreans, 70% on USC.

The political implications for Latvia's anti-Russian stance are disastrous. This sort of cooperation means that Russia is basically accepted as a legitimate player by key NATO members, something that is anathema to the Baltic states.
