Honey let me put one thing very straight you might be Defense Student or Teacher it doesn’t matter , the point I am making is these words came from Chief itself how can I be assured the sources you are giving are true and the interview given by Chief is wrong ?? How ?? if you want to check it go back some pages you will get it the F-10 and FC-20 were two different things or planes rather so your credibility might be true* but still PAF chief himself said we are going to induct J-10 as F-10 and might buy FC-20 in near future.

First of all, I am not your Honey !!!! Use proper language. 2nd I confirmed again & its J-10. However, the person I asked is asking for the interview you are talking about. He said he'll take up the question with Air-Marshal or ACM himself if he gets to fly with him (again). However, he (like every other PAF employee is sure its J-10).
If you want to talk about this you have to do it in "Personal Message" but as for your questions; There is no branch of the subject in Karachi.

What you have written is considered as a personal attack. & I dont even know what caused you to go offensive. I am an old member here & I know what happens to the trouble maker, you should be careful. Even if you dint mean offense, it is taken. No man will take attack on his position lightly.
Being a defence student doesn't mean I should be going around reading everything that is out there.
As for the link, they for sure would be forwarded to ppl who have more knowledge abt the deal.

Ali why do we have to repeat this all over again.The only credible evidence you got for your argument is the Air Marshal's interview.Ever heard of the armed forces development program(AFFDIP-2019) which was initiated to revamp the whole military,in that document it is mentioned that the J-10's codename would be FC-20.I wish i had the text of the document with me
right now just to show it to you and end the debate on a good note.
And secondly just on personal note please try to be nice to everybody here man just a request from one brother to another
UAF first of all tone down you'r replies. Secondly I've known Sabre for a very long time and if I were you I'd believe what he says because since he has been on this forum he has always been spot on. And as a matter of fact a lot of times my information has been backed up by his and his has been verified by me so I know what he is saying is true.

JHANG: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Mirage fighter plane crashed near Jhang on Wednesday during a training flight.
According to reports, a plane while on routine training flight was crashed near Jhang whereas pilot was ejected safely.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said that the incident occurred due to a technical fault. The air headquarters have ordered inquiry into the incident.

kool chill down if my comments were offensive I wonder what other people saying about Muslims and still .....
ahh never mind , I posted what Chief said simple is that and consistently I repeated go back some pages you will get it now common people like me will only believe what PAF chief will say and full stop. Other people that includes Defense students journalists or defense experts either can be wrong or right or misguided. I am not saying there are wrong but sorry I can't agree 100 % with any one unless there is some public statement by PAF regarding any issue and here we got this interview and that’s it.

Delivery of F-16 jets to start next month
Published: Friday, 9 February, 2007, 01:08 PM Doha TimeISLAMABAD: Pakistan will start getting the latest version of US F-16 aircraft from next month, official sources said here yesterday.
The test flights of first batch of 18 F-16 Block 50/52 aircraft made for Pakistan have been initiated and they would be on their way next month.
Defence sources say that the $3bn supply of 26 F-16 aircraft (A/B embargoed version) will be completed in 2009.
Pakistan also has the option of buying another batch of brand new F-16 Block 50/52 fitted with weapon system but Islamabad has to make up its mind in this regard, sources said.
Pakistan has also acquired Awacs which would be fitted in the Swedish SAAB planes. For that, Islamabad has already made an order. The Awacs will cost $1bn. It will reach Pakistan in early 2009, well before India gets it from other sources.
Pakistan is also contemplating to obtain Chinese Jiang-10 aircraft considered to be at par with any contemporary multi-role hi-tech fighter plane of any country.
Sources said that India is planning to obtain nuclear-capable 126 modern planes from the world market. Indians are exploring Russian MIG-31, French Rafael and Mirages-2000, four European countries (UK, Germany, France and Italy) joint production Typhoon and Swedish Grippens planes.
All these planes are expensive and available on cash payment. - Internews

The only delivery of air crafts next month I know of is JF-17. Lockheed-Martin Production & Assembly line must be empty to have produced PAF's F-16s this quickly & they might have even called back the employees they down sized couple of years back. Even with this I dont think its possible for them to deliver Pakistan its F-16 before the end o 2008 & beginning of 2009.Hey guys. this report gets me confused!!!

I dont think the news report is credible. Look at the language.

P.A.F I dont have much information. I have been out of touch with many of my sources for some time now, as I have been busy. I got the information from "umair" & I take his information as "Credible." So if u want details u can ask him. He told me 2 JF-17s are to be handed over & as far as I remember 1st batch is supposed to be handed over by March 2007.
