I haven't replied here yet either, im J from NSW, Australia, 21 and had been planning to join the Air Force since i was like 12 or so, but literally months before i was going to join at 19, i got type 1 diabetes and so not only can i not join the Air force but apparently i can't join any part of the defence force, so thats pretty crap..

So now im studying biology and biochemistry and thinking about learning some computer languages like C++

g'day all. look forward to your posts (for the forum virgins that is) Pepsi, you could always aim for DSTO. that way you still get a defacto finger in the pie.

Cheers, that DSTO site has some pretty interesting stuff on it, i'm quite into new technology and science and all that, i'm definately going to look into it

1st post as an intro, I know a little about artillery and naval guns because that's my job. Other than that, always interested in military history

Hi everyone!!

Thought id better get an intro in too. Im from New Zealand although i was born in Fiji.

Ive had Air Force experience cleaning toilets and rooms at my local base (holiday job). That makes me qualified to speak on military hygiene matters haha.

On a more serious note im gonna join the Air Force after i graduate from uni later on next year. This site is great! I hope to learn a lot especally from people like gf.

Well, Some of you migth know me from the Sinodefenceforum.com, were I act as pretty angry and fustrated moderator trying to keep those enthustiastic, armschair-taiwan concuers in check.
My defence experiences limits to conscription in finnish defence forces where i served as artilleryman, an aimer and sort of dé facto gunleader for old soviet 122mm D-30 howitzer as for the new finnish 155K98, 155mm, 52 cal gun howitzer whit APU and so on...I was promoted as corporal and I try to keep up whit the reservevist organization, by participating their shooting competitions, as i am some sort of mediocore sportrifle shooter myself.
:finland Oh did i mentioned that im a finn? well I also try to keep up some sort of reputation of knowing something about chinese military as well...

hello, i'm a 21 years-old Malaysian currently doing my terriary studies in Brisbane, Australia. Would love to join the army but i bet my parents will object strongly. Plus i feel the obligation to support my family by getting a well paid job and starting a small business after my studies. i'll try to get permanent residence status after my studies, who knows one day i'll be eligible to become Australian citizen, then i can choose between RMA or RAA

hi there!! im 19 years old malaysia n this is my first post since i sign in... b4 this i just read the forum discussed ( love discussion )... i live in kuala lumpur n sumtimes in malacca...still studying sumwhere here in engineering.. love computer games esspecialy warcraft3 n battlefiled2. highly interested in military development around the globe , history of global conflicts etc etc :gun ....
