The Bell 505 looks a little bit weird, but i believe its a good choice for Penerbad, as a Bell user for decades. Besides that the Turbomeca Arrius turboshaft is also installed in the EC120B and the AS555.

The new reserve unit.....equipped with more advanced assault rifles than regular active units.

As useful as giving Menwa-members (a wannabe-soldier unit consisting of normal civillian students) anti-terror training.

And on 27 September 353 new land vehicles were delivered to TNI-AD. 26 of them are P6 ATAV light attack vehicles, designed and built by PT Sentra Surya Ekayaja (SSE Defence).

Nice photo from Pindad FB sites, for their SPM 1 sniper rifle.
Is it actually in the doctrine to use 5.56 as a DMR rifle? Or is it just lack of equipment? Then again, the terrain in Indonesia is jungles and most likely only suited for close quarter engagement, which probably makes the difference between 5.56 not less inferior to 7.62, probably the opposite with the smaller recoil.

Still, calling 5.56 assault rifle a sniper rifle is a bit... off.

Usage of 5.56 as designated marksman rifle is probably doctrine. Also, it's not a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle product code would be SPR (Senapan Penembak Runduk) and they're chambered for 7.62 mm or even 12.7 mm. This SPM-1 seems to be an evolution of the SS2-V4 and I agree with you that it is a marksman rifle. SPM seems to be a new product code. Never heard of it before and couldn't find any reference to it before. But I'm guessing Pindad is making a new code for DMR and that SPM stands for Senapan Penembak Marksman. I'm not sure why they don't call it SPJ (J for Jitu) since that would make more sense linguistically.

Put it here cause it is interesting. Kris FB page shown how TNI-AD using commercial ferry to move their Leo 2 MBT along with the carrier mover. TNI-AL and TNI-AD actually have their own sea lift capabilities that capable handling that MBT.

Seems this's their trials to see the capabilities of commercial ferry for emergency or additional Military Transport.

Pindad introduced the new Armo V1 in 2019 to the press/public, but now they released a better photo of it with much more details. Unlike the P1, P2, P3, G2 and MAG-4, the body of the Armo V-series is made of polymer.

Keris FB pages shown Toyota Hilux that being send by Toyota Indonesia to Pindad facilities. This will be work out and transform toward their Light Armour utilities call Maung. Sorry seems because it's video the FB not allowed it to be link.

Seems Pindad still buy the whole vehicle from Toyota before transform to Maung light 4x4. Means in my opinion they're not having enough quantity to get direct deals with Toyota. They should get deal only on Hilux Chassis plus engine plus drive train with Toyota. Basically that what they really need. Thus seems they're not getting that one yet.

The point that I'll to make, is not usual for Pindad on making this deals. Seems this Maung businesses model need to relook by them. This's not a efficient ones.

The process to make one big defense industry holding continue. PT. LEN already informed the market and existing creditors on their intentions to absorb Government Shares of four SOE Defense Industry:
1. PT. PAL (as Naval defense business),
2. PT. Pindad (as Land defense business),
3. PT. DI/IAe (as Aero defense business),
4. PT. Dahana (as Explosive defense business).

Together with PT. LEN that work as Electronics defense business, it's in paper provide Indonesian SOE defense industry more capital leverage to attract fund either from Banking or Financial Market.

The hope is to make Defense Industry strategy more in line with one business ecosystem.

Well it's sound strategic in paper, but the problem with Indonesian SOE always when implementation strategy has to be done. As long as they work on business sense and not override by political sense, that common in SOE.

Seems PINDAD and FNSS is in serious discussion on co-op for another project after Black Tiger Medium Tank. Base on this article they are in discussion for co-op on developing Amphibious Armour Carrier based on FNSS existing design.

So far FNSS amphibious design is this Zaha AAV.

Thank you for sharing.

|"A scaled model of the MAV was showcased for the first time at the IndoDefence 2018 exhibition held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in November 2018. It was later officially launched by the manufacturer at the International Defence Industry Fair 2019 (IDEF 2019) held in Büyükçekmece, Turkey, in May 2019."|
The Zaha Marine Assault Vehicle looks like a decent replacement for the BTR-50 and AAVP-7. It was already showcased at Indodefence 2018, but the Pindad article doesn't give any details about the new project. Not about which vehicle, not even if it will be a wheeled or tracked vehicle.

This seems to be a test of joint Avibras-IPTN-Pindad development project of a new 122 mm rocket.

We don't see often Indonesia's Starstreak systems on the internet, so lets share some photos.

Yes, but Zaha as far as I can gather is the only AAV design that FNSS working on. I suspect FNSS working on this Zaha also with Indonesian Marines in mind, considering Turkish Marines it self not that big (to justify enough order by themselves). PINDAD own amphibious effort with modified Anoa does not gather enough traction from the Marines.

There's also a private company that try to create indigenous design (they call it BTR-58), however it's not progressing toward production version until now (rumours say they're using many Chinese sources equipment).

(Got this image through Google sources).

So let's see how this is going to develop. Seems FNSS and Pindad Partnership so far shown enough traction with the Medium Tank Project (which been rumours going to be used as based for IFV). Perhaps this time the AAV project will also got traction.
