The Bell 505 looks a little bit weird, but i believe its a good choice for Penerbad, as a Bell user for decades. Besides that the Turbomeca Arrius turboshaft is also installed in the EC120B and the AS555.View attachment 48545
From Kris FB, certification process in MinDef for Bell 505. The type that being 'rumours' going to replace old Hughes S300 as Helicopter Trainers in Army Air Wing (Penerbad).
Is it actually in the doctrine to use 5.56 as a DMR rifle? Or is it just lack of equipment? Then again, the terrain in Indonesia is jungles and most likely only suited for close quarter engagement, which probably makes the difference between 5.56 not less inferior to 7.62, probably the opposite with the smaller recoil.Nice photo from Pindad FB sites, for their SPM 1 sniper rifle.
Usage of 5.56 as designated marksman rifle is probably doctrine. Also, it's not a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle product code would be SPR (Senapan Penembak Runduk) and they're chambered for 7.62 mm or even 12.7 mm. This SPM-1 seems to be an evolution of the SS2-V4 and I agree with you that it is a marksman rifle. SPM seems to be a new product code. Never heard of it before and couldn't find any reference to it before. But I'm guessing Pindad is making a new code for DMR and that SPM stands for Senapan Penembak Marksman. I'm not sure why they don't call it SPJ (J for Jitu) since that would make more sense linguistically. Is it actually in the doctrine to use 5.56 as a DMR rifle? Or is it just lack of equipment? Still, calling 5.56 assault rifle a sniper rifle is a bit... off.
Especially in her Borg outfit.7 of 9 is hot..certainly hotter than Bell 412EPI . She's the only caracter in Star Trek Voyager that's being revived in present franchise of Picard.
Let's see if Bell412 EPI can continue relevant in decades to come..
ImpressiveA short but awesome video of an exercise from a Bell 412EPI.
We need more of this kind of videos.
Thank you for sharing.
Seems PINDAD and FNSS is in serious discussion on co-op for another project after Black Tiger Medium Tank. Base on this article they are in discussion for co-op on developing Amphibious Armour Carrier based on FNSS existing design.
Zaha Marine Assault Vehicle (MAV), Turkey
Zaha marine assault vehicle (MAV) is a new amphibious armoured vehicle developed by FNSS Savunma Sistemleri, a defence vehicle manufacturer based in Turkey.www.army-technology.com
So far FNSS amphibious design is this Zaha AAV.
Yes, but Zaha as far as I can gather is the only AAV design that FNSS working on. I suspect FNSS working on this Zaha also with Indonesian Marines in mind, considering Turkish Marines it self not that big (to justify enough order by themselves). PINDAD own amphibious effort with modified Anoa does not gather enough traction from the Marines.Zaha Marine Assault Vehicle looks like a decent replacement for the BTR-50 and AAVP-7. It was already showcased at Indodefence 2018, but the Pindad article doesn't give any details about the new project.
