Hello, and thank you. I am at this point however more interested in gear and survival techniques from a pilot's perspective. With my father being a U.S. Marine before i came along and other family members in the U.S. Army I have had a lot of input from that perspective over the years....although it is of course always of interest to me.
Welcome again.

And here is a thread regarding the survival skills in the off topic forum.Hope you'll share some knowledge with us.I am just a student of this stuff.

Thank you SURB. Do we have the ability to post pictures here?

Ah...I see in trying to quote this I have to have more than ten posts in order to post links...that shouldn't take long.

Of coarse sir, you can not only attach images from your PC,but also post the link of image if it's somewhere else.
If there is any problem you can ask WebMaster via PM.He is very kind, and always ready to help.

Thank you. I usually use an image hosting site rather than my PC so i can get the images large enough to suit me. I find better pictures generally means less typing for me...

Now I just need to find places that I can make enough relevant posts to achieve ten posts in order to contribute more to this thread. I have a few techniques as well as a few tools and pieces of kit that may be of interest to you.

Hi
I go by RIP and I enjoy this form very much as I am a new member. I currently live in Arizona in the USA but have been to or lived in over fifty countries during my sixty years of life. I worked for thirty years in the semiconductor industry, mostly during the high flying hay days of Silicon Valley. Before that I spent six and a half years in the US NAVY. Mainly working in surface electronic warfare. A field I have tried in my humble way to keep current in. Though many aspects of moderen warfare are interesting, the great game as the British once call it, my greatest interest at present is in tactical aspects of informational warfare. I do not mean cyber warfare but the aspects of gathering, analyzing, and sharing tactical and sensor information on a real time bases in real life tactical situations. I would like to start a thread to explore recent advances in information technology and how they will soon affect conventional battle (mainly in naval warfare) as we have up to now know it. But I am new to on line forums and do not know how to start. Any ideas guys? I have written three page brief on how I think it could effect sensor collection and would like other people to share their thoughts and ideas. I hope I am doing this the right way.

Hello LedZap here , I found your forum very interesting and have joined. I've always been thrilled with Military aircraft as I've lived for 20 years in the Antelope Valley (Palmdale) , where, if you hear a jet , you run outside to look,as it's most always a military aircraft. I've been lucky enough to have seen all the B2's built there. Many F117's , B1's and more. And of course the most awesome of them all , the SR71's. I'm looking forward to enjoying the forum.

Intro & Need Advice

Ok, I need some advice. I am a 28 yr old man, very good physical shape, American.I hae always wanted to serve in the military, but when I tried to enlist, I was denied because when I was 18, I recieved two felony theft charges. So now I am thinking of serving in another nations military. I would like to obviously serve in a European force. I heard that Germany does not bar people based on theft charges. My question is, how would one go about enlisting in the German military? I hve heard that many Russians have managed to do so, and I saw in a post on this site that they dont look at theft charges. I know my age is also higher than many - but I speak Spanish and basic German, in addition to English. Please only respond if you can help me out in this matter. I am not a traitor, but America wont let me in the military because of a stupid childhood mistake, Thank you.

Found this site while seeking information about New Zealand Strategic and Military position.

Also danlewis perhaps you should try the French Foreign Legion, I hear that you can start over again and create a new life there. Although from what I have heard and seen it's no easy slog.

Greetings guys and gals, 30 yr old previously enlisted submariner from the USA here. I try to read thru most of the posts up to the point that my post will be inserted so I try to stay with the topic and not rehash or restate things that were already clarified by earlier posters, currently I work in power generation so if you have any questions where your electricity comes from go ahead and PM me, I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. Some things I wont be able to clarify or comment on until 2025 but there are some pretty good stories that I can tell when the time comes.

Hi All -
Am interested in rocket, missile and space events both civiial and military. I found this forum while looking for information on some military missile launchings and immediately joined.

I have been researching both "old" rocket and missile events - Rocket Battalion of Artillery (General Barry's), better known as the New York Rocket Battalion in the Civil War and the German V-2 rocket (and V-1 flying bomb) and new events like the current BMDS tests, ABL tests, etc.

Hope to both gain and provide information to the forum.
