Hola From Colombia

Just wanted to introduce myself, I am an American living in Medellin Colombia. We outsource employees to the US and always need to keep an eye on the security of this great country.

Hey I'm Toptop (appereantly). My real nickname is Toprob, but a typo slipped through in my application!

I'm currently 23 years old, almost 24, and I am a first year anthropology student in Leiden (the Netherlands). I live in the Hague and I used to study industrial design but I got bored.

I have no affiliation with any military or militaristic organisation, and I'm not all that fond of violence. But I do have a long lasting interest in military history and technology, geopolitics and everything to do with that stuff.

I've been a member on this forum for some time now and I thought I'd introduce myself so here it is!!

Cheers Robert

Hi All!

I'm 22 yrs and as you might have guessed I'm german (but my name ain't herman by the way ;D ).

Well, I didn't done compulsory military service (because it is so easy to fail the medical examination on purpose) and so I lack any kind of deeper / inside knowlege of the military but I'm very intersted in global strategic and the military situation of different states around the world.

I already read the forum for a while and I'm quite impressed about the quality and knowlege of its members, so maybe I won't be able to participate in alot of discusions but I'll throw in some questions from time to time for sure ;)

That's it for now =D

Hello all,

My name is Brian, I am a civilian, and I have much enjoyed reading through the info here on this site.

I am a both a lifelong student and often teacher of wilderness and survival skills. I am also a bit of a gear junkie. Is there a section here where personal gear and survival tools are discussed?

Thanks,

Brian

Hello Brian. We don't have a section for survival tools and personal gear specifically, but the Land Forces subforum would be an appropriate place to discuss these within the context of troops equipment. The Off-Topic forum would be a place to discuss these things outside of that context (for example in relation to camping or wilderness survival more specifically).

Hello, and thank you. I am at this point however more interested in gear and survival techniques from a pilot's perspective. With my father being a U.S. Marine before i came along and other family members in the U.S. Army I have had a lot of input from that perspective over the years....although it is of course always of interest to me.
