Hello,

My name is Mike and i'm from England.

I was raised in a military family, so naturally it rubbed off on me.

I'm currently on a waiting list to join the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer on submarines. 13 months to go, though the waiting time can increase or decrease depending on certain circumstances.

I love to think strategically! I play chess and poker alot, so it helps having the mindset that I do.

Look forward to meeting you all in discussion.

Regards,

Mike.

hello

New member from Canada. Amateur but curious all things defence related.

Our jets leaving for Libya ops tonight. Too little too late? Are any air crews in place and cleared for ops in Libya yet?

Hello All!

FIrst off, I am very glad to be here. My name is H. Nelson. I am a borderline man of leisure, freelance writer, and defense/nuclear policy enthusiast. I am especially obsessed with deterrence theory.

I have lived in North America and South America, East Coast and West Coast. My favorite author is Patrick O'Brian. I am also a fan of Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Thomas Jefferson, and Richard Zachs. If there are any Aubrey-Maturin fans out there, please let me know.

I love Hefeweizens, Pale Ales, Single Malt Lowland and Speyside Scotches.

Cheers!

Hello everyone! I am very excited to be a member of this community. I have been tracking this website on a nearly daily basis for a while now, and have found the forum discussions to be very enlightening and interesting.

I am currently a highschool student, and I am very interested in global political and military conditions.

So far I have read The Art of War, The Prince, Utopia, and The Communist Manifesto, as well as many articles on rt.com (Russia Today), and a good deal of articles on this website.

Again, I am very excited to be a part of this community, and cannot wait to be able to contribute to it.

Thanks:)
