This is one of many experimental vehicles that are floating around in this country, all major tank designers even on the international level that are out there have some pretty neat concepts.

Interesting, what engine they used there. The classic V-shaped diesel seems to be too high for it.

No western tank has it due to 1992-y agreement for laser weapon declared inhuman.
Are you referring to Type 90 from Japan, is so why will it not be able to take on a Type - 99 from China, please give me facts as to what makes the Type - 99 a better tank.
Yes with this experimental vehicle it is quite low and the crew is located in the hull, concept has been tested for the last twenty years or so not only by us, but as you know Russia has been working with similar platform.
Okay - I will assume that you are talking about a TYPE 90, it does have a laser defensive warning system in place. Again what is so special about the Type-99, facts please.
Now that is interesting - what do you like better, I personally like the bigger hull on the Type - 99.

China has conducted extensive research on the T - 80U and T - 84, compliments of Ukraine and have placed some of the technology into the Type - 99. It is rumored that DU penetrator technology has come from Isreal.
You should never under estimate Russian tank technology, they have some pretty wild stuff that they are working on also. The current side skirts are not ballistic panels, not say that they cannot offer this.I like the hull too. Overall though, I believe that the Chinese are now equal or ahead the russians in tanks. the type-99 also looks cooler. I like the side skirt armor. The main gun is cool too.
It is a great tank.

What is amazing with the S-tank is that swedish engineers have perfectly managed to design such an ambush tank, well adapted to the sweden defense purposes during the Cold War, and to its engagment type of terrain either.
