I have purchased a game called Tank Commander World War 2, and Elite Warriors Vietnam. I respect the views of gamespot.com, and am a registered viewer of the site, but find that I like the two games mentioned, not in a small degree.

There is a Naval Strategy game called Battlefleet, published by a publishing entity called Pacific Lights. The game is only available as a download, and it is the most impressive Naval Strategy Game, that I have experienced. The full game is available for a reasonable amount of Dollars/INR, perhaps it is not expensive, as games go. I am purchasing the game. What I would like to point out, is that in the Pearl Harbor campaign undertaken by the Japanese Fleet, I have experienced a major victory, and I have also experienced a defeat. Perhaps, life is like a Naval Campaign. For the same campaign, one chooses different warships, at different times, because of reasons. Perhaps the reason is that Victory has been experienced before, due to a certain scenario. One would like to win against heavy odds. If I had been the Fleet Admiral Yamamoto, I would have certainly realized the odds against the Japanese Fleet in the long term, against the might of the United States, during the Second World War. The Fleet Admiral had witnessed the flowering of the Japanese Fleet, but ordered the attack on Pearl Harbor, being a most practical, imaginative, and pragmatic Admiral. The Japanese Campaign was doomed, because of the non availability of Naval resources in reserve. If one Battle, which is the Battle of Midway, could deprive the Japanese Navy of her Naval Resources, then the Japanese Admiral knew the odds against an eventual Japanese victory, at the onset of the war.

The Steel Panther Series.

The Steel Panther Series are a great series of games. I refer to SPWAW, SPMBT, and SPWW2. The SPWAW is great in its own fashion, as is the SPWW2. When SPWW2 was made, the makers perhaps concentrated on the game, while the makers of SPWAW concentrated on making the Steel Panthers experience, different, albeit, the experience is equally pleasant. However, the experience is a totally different experience from the Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts experience. I would like to play the original Company of Heroes game, but it is not available freely in India, perhaps due to supply. The Steel Panther series is more rewarding in certain ways, and one appreciates COH O P more in a different manner. I would like Shrapnel Games, and Matrix Games, to set up shop in India, as I would like battlefront.com to do so also, very much. They might find that that the public in India, who operate PC Games in India, are as much, may I use the word, connoisseurs, of good gaming, as are those who live in other nations, also. The steel Panther Series can be intimidating, in the details one has to remember. One may be tempted not to use the details. But perhaps, it is possible to learn the various options, without using the tutorial extensively.

Hearts of Iron 2.

I have just installed Hearts of Iron 2 on my computer, and it is mighty impressive. The name of the game is, Hearts of Iron 2, Prepare for The War. The game fits into one CD ROM. On first impressions, the game is very good, and I am sure that it will not disappoint. It is not just military strategy, but one can, I fathom, play a leader like Winston Churchill during World War 2, or Hitler, for that matter. One is in the shoes of a National Leader, so one can help direct the affairs of a nation.

Got Medieval 2 a couple of weeks ago, its now ruining my life. Starting to suffer from sleep deprivation. Its a horribly addictive game.

Playing the English, Wiped out France, finishing the Scots off, taken a good chunk of the Holy Roman Empire, Occupied Pampalona, Liberated Jerusalem and occupied most of the Holy Land.

But now a God almighty Horde of Mongols has turned up outside Arce, I've been excommunicated, Milan has besieged Marseilles, the Danes are on the march, and the Spanish are blockading Pampalona.

Worried? na....

Combat Mission Shock Force by Battlefront.

Modern US Army versus Syria. USMC Module coming out soon followed by a British Module.

The game was horrible on first release but if you patch it up now it is extremely good.

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X action-flight simulator is due next year. It is said to be most realistic air power game ever. So all the fans keep a watch on it.

While I will be buying HAWX, i'm kinda tired of flight sims where you carry 100 missiles and can take multiple hits from missiles. Just doesnt seem very realistic to me, I know it makes it more fun but suffers in the realism dept. BTW any good suggestion for good modern naval games/mods?

Have you tried Lock-On? It's a bit dated but still the most realistic combat flight sim out there IMO.

A game section..GREAT.

FOR ME ,i like 1 person shooters or network shooting games.I use to be a semi pro gamerrr,i wasted my younger life playing only a few games.
(my favorite games in order, for network or 1 person shooters)
1.Counter Strike 2...you know kill the terorists Vs Counter terrorist, defuse bombs/save hostages.Great weapons like M4,Ak47,shottys,buy nades and body armor.....AWSOME 98/100

2.Call of Duty 4 modern combat....well what can you say you get everything, claymores, bouncin bettys,M4,Ak74,saw,40 mm grenade launcher with all types of gun sights....this is the most Awsome modern warefare game.
to easy to die as you can walk on mines ,cop a 40 mm nade and your dead.i guess its very real sim game.Dose put a smile on your dialwhen you can choose martadom(when you die you blow up an kill all near you)last stand(you are on last breath lying on floor with hand gun ablazin..V funny)

3.Call of Duty 2.....well its WW2 shooter em up you do missions from russia soldier,Tommy solder and US soldier...great ww2 wepons.

4.Battlefront Vietnam..in nam great music ,fly planes, hellis ,cobra gunships, tanks and run round shooter....hate when you die and you have to waite 20 seconds to spawn..but all in all a fun game.

You will need a 512 dedicated graphics card for laptop to play first 2 games
Otherwise 256 dedicated card is fine for other games.

When it comes to strategy

1.Commad and conquor....there is no better than GENERALS
also,Red alert 2 had an awsome upgrade package with aircraft carriers/subs/battleships/tanks/planes/bombers basically full version of warefare....its awsome but i cannot find the upgrade anywhere it was circa 1994..any one know this upgrade>?you know get a battleship off someones coast and watch the land generals get pooned :D

2.JTF....very technical you will spend hours getting your soldiers into position and then a Technical comes down the road and whipes you out...a great startegy game but to realistic..in the sense that you die when you do somthing wrong..no second chances like in real life

3.Commandos..well the all seieng eye:Dit drives you nuts but very strategick

4.Age of empires......i beta tested this game when it first came out,its pre-historic,stone age to golden age ,hunt fish and pillage your neighbours land:D

this is my opinion for first person shooters and startegy games
WARNING..these games are very addictive especially Counter strike..im still playing it after 9 years:D and my lady even plays:D
