G'day all,

Just finished JO FSB for the RNZN, so will be starting JOCT in January as a Supply Officer.

Interested in anything to do with NZ/Aus, especially all things naval!

NZ and Aust aae? Well i think have found the right place. Abt a year ago the forum was flooded with South Asians. Now there are too many Australians, some kiwis, some canadians, some Americans and Some Brits. But if ur an Aussie or a kiwi, u'll feel like home ;)

Hi all! I’m 31 y.o. My name is Andrey (last name you could guess) I’m product manager of banking equipment and telecom in distribution company. I leave in Moscow (Russia).

I like cycling and cross country traveling on MTB (in winter too on cycle equipped by spiked tires for ice road). One more thing I real enjoy is alpine skiing. Last tour to Chamonix Mont Blanc was amazing! I desire one more :rolleyes: ! I did five parachute drops.

My military experience is couple years military education in civil Tech University (one day per week) and one month of TNT detonating, shooting and doing nothing :D . After this I become lieutenant in reserve, calling “Jacket” in Russian Army :D .

PS I like this forum for high analytical and professional level. It looking like gentlemen club.

Don't let the HMS confuse you, I'm definitely an Australian! I'm simply of the very rare 'Pom-Loving Bastard' variety.

I support the mighty St George Illawarra Dragons Rugby League Football Club and my main military interests are the RAN and RN, although I'm still quite interested in other military branches and other nations.

G'day guys, welcome to DT. To the Aussies and Kiwi's, you'll find quite a little community of us building up in here.

I like to think we're a little bit more restrained and less "excitable" than some who visit here. We welcome any who are serving or recently joined personnel here especially.

Any "official" info that comes your way that you feel like posting please feel free. There are many serving or former personnel here (yours truly included) who do so. The quality of the information that gets put up here, is what builds the reputation of a site like this.

Remember 1996 WorldCup final at Lahore, Pakistan. That time baby Sri Lankans defeated you. This time Bangladeshis migh get you.. .heheheh..lol they have already defeated you once. :hehe & dont forget the South Africans 435 thing.

On the other hand ... u ppl should drop out of the WorldCup and give others a chance. For the past 2 worldcups u have been kicken our (south asians) behinds so bad that have gone into inferiority complex.

But on the seriour side, it would be good to see Australia in the final, specialy with either Pakistan (cause its hosting final -- and we gotta take care of 1999) or with South Africa.

BTW; In 2011 Warney would be in the commentry box !!! hehehe

'Evening all -

- just an old dipso awaiting transportation for life down under :p: I'm particularly interested in defence issues for the ANZACs about which I have very little knowledge. I like all outdoor stuff , especially if it involves a fishing rod but I am also a student of public house interior design. I promise to keep quiet, stay seated and not annoy the dog.
