Ex Garibaldi berthing facility being speed up to receive the light carrier soon. It is important that MinDef can show her off during Naval Sail Pass at 5th of October. Seems the sail pass will be conducted in Lampung Naval Base.
Whether this carrier will become KRI Gajah Mada, or some other potential name (Sriwijaya or Majapahit also rumoures to be contender). The test is not the USD 450 mio upgrade, but whether the 'still' green water Navy can operate light carrier consistently. Or become another nice feature to have like Thai Chakri Naruebet. Two light carrier in ASEAN, and will be test on operating them consistently as light carrier.
