I was wondering if any missile or torpedo tests have been done against modern thick steel. Polar Class 3 ship steel is 48mm thick. Obviously it's not thick everywhere, and not designed against missile strikes. But it's the closest I can think of to any ship having any thickness or steel toughness remotely approaching a battleship.

What about submarine pressure hulls? A lot of torpedos are designed to sink submarines, & I think that 48mm should be within the range they're designed to breach.

At least one cruise missile has been tested against a submarine, & did this -

The warhead is two stage. The first stage punched a hole through the hull, which the second stage flew through before exploding inside. I don't know the thickness of a Kilo-class's hull, but I expect it to be significantly thicker than that of a merchant ship, or destroyer.

Glad that SIGMA 10514 design still being developed and got new customers. Like Indonesia PAL, Columbia Cotecmar will build the design base on DAMEN license. It is bit bigger the Indonesia 10514.
So this is actually a SIGMA 10714.

Babcock and SAAB join forces to bring smaller variance of Arrowhead 140 call Arrowhead 120. This to enter Sweden requirement for new Frigate class.

Arrowhead 120 was Babcock's original submission for Type 31 - see this from 2017 - Arrowhead 120

They then took a gamble on the Royal Navy preferring a ship with more growth potential, & switched to Arrowhead 140, based on the Iver Huitfeldt class, which paid off. I think they've dusted off the 2017 design & tweaked it for Sweden, with Arrowhead 140 in reserve.

This article doesn't really fits in the Indo Pacific Strategy thread, the South China Sea thread or the Why ASEAN matters thread, so i just post it here.

A Thai Navy patrol ship fired warning shots at a Malaysian fishing trawler suspected of illegal fishing in Thai waters, about eight nautical miles from Lipe Island. The incident resulted in the sinking of the ship and the detention of its crew.

Kim visited the Choe Hyon frigate.

I observed some changes to the sensors and systems. Notably, new ECM sensors on port/starboard next to the arrays, replacing the AK630 with domestic CIWS that seem to feature the same 30mm gun but with its own tracking radar.

The other interesting details was not Choe Hyon but showed surface effect warship/corvette in the background and further back, an Amnok corvette.

On 4 March 2026, Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie (CMN) held a christening and launching ceremony in Cherbourg for the first BR71 MKII corvette for the navy of Angola. The NRA Ekuikui II (F300) is the first of three vessels on order by the Angolan Navy.

Video on Cheo Hyon Frigate visit by supreme leader and missiles tests.

A very "clean" looking warship. And by clean, I mean there is a distinct lack of fixtures you would expect to find on a warship, both externally and internally. Currently it looks like one good fire would cripple her very quickly.

Perhaps it is more as arsenal ship concept then ocean going warship. More to operate within DPRK coasts, as mobile naval missile carrier. With that kind amount of VLS packed in superstructure, I don't think long range operation really in the mind of DPRK Navy.

Agree; while the internal views are limited there’s no sign of the DC functionality one would expect to see.

Kim Jong Fat: "Make the ship modern and stealthy looking!"
Design team: "How stealthy has it to be, dear Supreme Leader?"
Kim Jong Fat: "YES!"
