I have been around since September and enjoy talking and debating with you guy`s. And all the glory is in the armor branches, do not let these combat fighter jocks tell you anything else.

Well I think I never introduced myself, so i'll do it now.

My name is Guy, born and raised in Israel .

I was recruited to the IDF one and a half years ago, passed all Aerial pilot tests, moved to UAV's, recieved training as a UAV operator, later moved to UCAV testing, found fit, passed the training, and for the past 5 and a half months i'm serving in the IDF as a UCAV operator on Gaza border ( not in the West Bank ).

During the second Lebanon war I was sent to the Lebanese border, to operate againts Hizballah, later I was sent back to my original position.

Basically, my job is simple. I receive information from the IDF's intelligence wings, all of them, whether its from the hundreds of security cameras on the border, or from UAV's, ground observation, AWACS, everything ( most of the time from UAV's and from the border cameras ), and my job is to destroy the threat, of course, if it fits for my type of operation, if it doesn't, there're many different attack wings in the IAF that can take it out.

Of course i'm not alone, I'm one of many UCAV pilots whom responssible for one of those machines.

If anyone have questions about our operations i'll be glad to try and answer.

Best wishes, Guy.

Hi, neotautis, just for curious, I saw almost everytime when TAMU hold football game, there are always several air fighters form a diamond shape fly over above the stadium, mostly are F16 or F18, are these planes from Fort Bliss? I just can not believe the military force have show service for an university game day. Why?
