Giuseppe Bono at Euronaval said FREMM costruction will start at the end of 2007
Forcieri (in charge of Navy planning at Ministry of Defence) confirmed laying down of first 2 FREMM simultaneously Nov 2007 at Riva Trigoso.
By the way, I've got the official list of investment for the Navy :
> 209.9 mln euro for FREMMs (plus the 50 mln which are off budget)
> 209.9 mln euro for completion of Cavour
> 247.8 mln euro for completion of Horizon DDGs
> 42.1 mln euro for completion of first 2 U212A
> 50.4 mln euro for FSAF, PAAMs, TESEO
> 4 mln euro for MU90
> 9.1 mln euro for Vulcano
> 2.6 mln euro for R&D
> 35.7 mln euro for logistics & infrastructure
> 33.7 mln euro for MLU of De la Penne and Maestrale
The NH90, EH101, JSF F35B and AV8BII+ programmes are in the air force part.

PS no new programmes yet
since priority is to solidify existing programmes such as FREMM before committing to 4th LPDH or the next batch of U212. Though both could be included next year in the 2008 budget.
