Their topside is appears more cluttered than I expected and while i like overal design, I'm not too hot about the stack arrangement.Grand Danois said:Love the looks of the Horizons, with the exception being the funnels. They're definetely a manifestation of function overruling aesthetics.
Stack arrangement = funnels ?tatra said:Their topside is appears more cluttered than I expected and while i like overal design, I'm not too hot about the stack arrangement.
Speaking aesthetically I think the only get that seems out of place to me is the Bridge super structure, I would of though they would make it a bit more angularGrand Danois said:Love the looks of the Horizons, with the exception being the funnels. I look forward to seeing your pictures !The Forbin (the first French Horizon class vessel) is at sea trials too. As soon I've got the photos, I'm going to publish it.
But the French one is a little more different, with no 3rd 76mm gun. I've seen the external fire extinguishing system at work, it is cool...
Only if the Govenament place the order ... Navy waits also for the new LPD/LHD :shudderThe 3rd and 4th U212A are likely to be confirmed for building as of 2008 in Muggiano.
AFAIK U212A is a higher priority than 4th LPD/LPH, since the option for 3rd and 4th expires after 2008 ...Only if the Govenament place the order ... Navy waits also for the new LPD/LHD :shudder
