Brazil has announced the procurement of Scorpene subs from France, while these subs will be built by DCNS and Odebrecht in brazil four would be conventionaly powered diesel electric subs the fifth would be a nuclear powered submarine. As for the nuclear-powered attack submarine, DCNS will provide design assistance to the Brazilian Navy's design agency for all non-nuclear elements of the Navy's first nuclear submarine. Also, the entire nuclear power plant will be designed and built in Brazil.

India has an agreement with DCNS for building 6 diesel electric scorpene subs and construction for the same has already begun in Mazagon Docks in India. India has a huge need for nuclear subs. While its existing program for domesticaly building nuclear subs (the ATV program) has been taking decades, its proposals to acquire subs on lease from Russia has also entered rough waters. In this context I invite this forum on voting on whether India should also opt for a similar nuclear powered submarine or not
The voting options are (a) Yes - two subs (b) Yes - one sub (c) India should not go for scorpene nuc subs
