The SEP upgrade isn't even yet official on Saudi's M1s - neither is TUSK. Let's be straight, it'll be Abrams down the road before soviet T-90, T-95 or T-fantasy. TUSK, with infantry support.

And I just don't believe the claim about the US not wanting the Saudis to get additional Abrams or SEP(TUSK) upgrades for the older ones.
Hell, the Saudis have Eagles with AMRAAMs and JDAMs in the air. And these assets have a much much bigger chance of ever seeing action against the IDF than the Abrams will ever have.
BTW, there are some hundred Leos left for sale from Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and maybe from Sweden.
Are they getting something similar to the US or maybe Aussie AIM upgrade?
More likely along the lines of AIM, I was told though that Saudi does have the option for a full SEP upgrade.

They still want 100 M1-TUSK, they may take over in Karballa.
Yes most certainly, and I hope that Saudi Arabia does go for it, if they want TUSK also in addition to SEP then that will be a even better. Just demand that you want the armor upgrade kit for TUSK, not the current armor package.

That's what I meant! I just made a difference between the US AIM upgrade and the Aussie AIM upgrade because as far as I know there are some differences, right?
The Aussie for example got new TIs.

I would think that they are along the lines of our AIM system just a guess though, you have asked a good question inregards to the sights and I will ask some questions and see if can find out.

Actually Waylander this kit is a little odd as I just found out, they are going with the thermal Panoramic, armor upgrade package and platoon intergrated fire control system. GEEZ - maybe we are giving them the same armor specs of a M1A1 heavy.:unknown

- What exactly is the platoon integrated fire control system? A small battlefield management system or something to control direct and indirect fire support?
- If one wants to achieve M1A1HA armor protection without DU armor (The Egypts don't get DU right?) it should get bigger than a normal M1A1HA.
The new TI is defenitely one nice piece of equipment.

Slightly bigger but not heaver. There is the difference... Addidionaly, by using more expencive materials (either aquiring or maintainance) one can get even better protection for less size/weight.
