Dare I say it - it's the last European Main Battle Tank produced.and what was the conclusion? AFAIK they were neither rejected nor purchased.
Interesting why?The UAE want rid of their Le Clerc...
was mentioning Pakistan's offer of AK to KSADare I say it - it's the last European Main Battle Tank produced.
The Germans will be selling second-hand Leopard-II's long after Nexter's and BAE's production lines close.
What are some of the issues that they are having, I was told that they still may have issues with the power pack overheating. The UAE want rid of their Le Clerc...
A classic case of bad kit for the wrong environment. What are some of the issues that they are having, I was told that they still may have issues with the power pack overheating.
AHH - got it.If they have really problems with their engines than I would blame the UAE at least partly for it.
They wanted the MTU883 in it because they held stocks of MTU at the time.
What is giving them issues, is it the whole tank, automotive or electronics.A classic case of bad kit for the wrong environment.
You are a little bit short today...
Could you please elaborate the problems?
Otherwise such an info is a little bit useless.
I thought the T-90 deal was put on hold, now they are being asked to look into a purchase because of Israel having issues with M1A2s. What about Egytian M1A1s.Can we confirm one point - Saudi is "restricted" to deploy M1 Abrams in the North West of the Saudi.
The US State Department is never going to allow M1 to meet Merkava, in Saudi's North West, the long-French equipped 12th Armored (AMX-10) and 6th Mechanised (AMX-10P) are awaiting replacement.
After strenously rejecting Pakistani options, current suggestions are that the RSLF has been asked to explore Russian options in the T-90MBT and BMP-3 IFV.

All Abrams conversions will be processed by a through-life coversion plant within Kingdom. Expanded, Saudi will be able to repair their own tanks (with Egyptian) support.I thought the T-90 deal was put on hold, now they are being asked to look into a purchase because of Israel having issues with M1A2s. I assume that the Saudi government has had the chance to evaluate the T-95, is there any information that has been conveyed on the capabilities of T-95.T-90?
Me and you know Eck, the Saudis don't want T-90. They could have that bag of bolts yesterday.
The RSLF want one tank only - Abrams. And they want M1-TUSK, because they have a funny feeling they'll have to follow our lad's out - and face the Iranians.
T-95 if the Prince Sultan has his way. The Mil Mi 24E(SA) deal is a go. Logistically frightening what this lot a doing - they have 12 options on a new service rifle. It all rests on which one 'sits well' on the Prince Sultan's shoulder... His firing hand is numb off the fucking bribe...
Egyptian M1A1s will be getting some of the M1A2 SEP upgrade, I would assume that Saudi will also go with the full SEP upgrade, but are they also interested in the TUSK urban kit also. You made the statement with Egyptian support, will this come from assistance with the U.S.All Abrams conversions will be processed by a through-life coversion plant within Kingdom.
