All things considered I would say the US Army is the very best "total" army in the world by far.
On an individual average soldier basis I would have to vote for the Israeli's.
For Elite Forces again, US gets my vote with Delta Force.
Naturally this is a subjective (trying to be objective) viewpoint but I have worked with all NATO and some UN forces so I at least have some insight on the matter.
For the sake of arguing I would entertain SAS as equals or near equals to Delta Force.
Israel has some top notch infantrymen however it is worth pointing out that their training and equipment makes them specialized for warfare in a relatively limited geographical area.

Korean War, UN and US lost to China. Too afraid to blockade Chinese water because it might draw USSR to the war.

As for Isreal, they haven't even settle their own problems in the middle east
If Russia can stabilize the Chechen region and suppose the economy blooms, say by 2020, the russians wud have the strongest army. They have the most advanced Helicopter the Ka-52(no the AH64D is not the most advanced heli),they have a great airforce with guided munitions and they have no problems regarding oil and maneuver and they have a large variety of new tanks and artillery with cold war era being sold off.
Well.....chinese military is in the process of modernization and by 2015-20 it may be one of the best so i cant disagree with shamayel
lol so is mine when i play with the PLA
PLA's got the missiles man... but i guess u cant 4get the Americans and their carpet bombing.

with GLA its just guirella warfare. The PLA r the best cuz they have a ton of rollin firepower thats pretty cheap. So i can take losses with PLA. But with USA and their aircraft u can strike at any building or unit on the map. I sometimes do it on the PLAs power plants if theyve got Nukes loadin up cuz that buyz time 4 a proper strike on the Nukes that r a ton more better defended than the Power plants.
