Most of bigger players from Moeslem World are engage to this mostly to bargain on Palestine and especially Gaza. Some of them already have bigger economies from most Euro Middle player (nominally) and some Euro Big player on PPP. Certaintly some of ones that control energy market. so they are not that small relevance.

Like I said it is going to be bargain on case to case base. They don't care on what Euro wants as they know the decisive player for Palestine in the end is US, thus they are bargaining with US. They are not cashing in, they are bargaining. Epecially the moeslem world players.

So let's see if other global south like China or India will come or bargain on different issue. One thing for sure most of them not coming to cashing in. They come to bargain their interest with US. The world order now more on bargaining and not 'allies' interest.

@Beltrami I have no intention in getting involved in the discussion or argument or whatever, but since you asked, I will provide some info.

The two main exports Indonesia has to Spain are copper slag and palm oil. You likely won't see many items marked "Made in Indonesia", but it's likely that your electronics use our copper and likely if you got anything made by Unilever it probably uses some of our palm oil.

The two main exports Spain has to Indonesia are machinery and pharmaceuticals. Aircrafts and their spare parts are a respectable third category.

Total trade is only $2.88 billion annually, which is paltry given the size of both economies. But rather than saying "yeah, you're nobody important", I think that this means there are broad opportunities for trade and investment for both countries.

Well over here its seen as absolute joke. There is no "bargaining". There is Trump and then there are his bootlickers. We have found out that we get what we want when threatening Trump. He has the nickname "TACO" for a reason.

Look at Greenland, first he makes max pressure believing that Europe bow but when this did not happen and Europe threatens back...he retreated.

So you have two options to deal with Trump..

1. Counter him and defend your interests

2. Boot licking

I think Spain historicly always focus rather on the americas. We had historicly not much to do with SE Asia except Philippines. Trade and Relations between Spain and Indonesia is very small. You are right that in future this could be opportunity.

We have no bad relations with them either, there is simply not munch going on between our nations yet.
