Highly unlikely. The first reason is that the Croatian navy will not operate submarines for the foreseeable future. The second is that those subs are probably in a very, very bad condition and third, Velebit is a modified p.911 class sub, it would make more sense to get some of those and upgrade them. If we need a modern, domestically built SSK, we should(if we could) build the Lora class SSK. Those subs were meant to be around 1000-15000 tonns in displacement and enter service in the 90s, armed with Exocet SSMs and torpedoes. Since BSO Split , which is still alive and kicking, did all of the submarines in the Yugoslavia, I guess there are
design documents still alive.
