Thanks for the correction, I just replace it. Yes, it is been the speculation that they can only finishing the OPV#2, as OPV #3 is still too much parts need to rebuild.

Got this image on line stating this is the picture of OPV#2. Stating OPV#3 still in raw parts/modules. So I do tend to agree with the speculations assesment that potentially only OPV#2 can be finish by Shin Yang with what parts already available in Destini defunct yard. This is clearly salvaging move by Malaysian Adminstrations to save whatever left of OPV#2 and #3 from Destini debacle.

There's talk with Malaysian enthusiats online that K-SAAM already being tested and launch from one of the Lekiu Frigates. If that's true then Lekiu and LMS Batch2 (Turkiye Ada Class derivative) standardise using K-SAAM.

Will be interesting to see if LCS (Maharaja Lela class) will also use K-SAAM or stick with original design with VL-MICA. Consider same shipyard (LUNAS) that build LCS and integrate K-SAAM to Lekiu, I see chances RMN going to standardise to K-SAAM as whole.

VL MICA (minus the missiles) had already been bought for the Maharaja Lela class and been sitting in the warehouse for years.

The photo is not official, just a proposal from Lunas and I don't think they have the money for a full upgrade. RMN have some hard choices/priorities to make:

1) Modernization of Tun Razak submarines?
2) SLEP for Kedah class?
3) Upgrades for Lekius? and to what level?
4) LMS Batch 3?
5) MRSS #1 and #2?

My own guess is Kedah class, being newer hulls might jump the queue if RMN is looking to maintain their principal surface warfare capabilities. Tun Razak modernization will suck up much of their budget.
