Thank you. Good to get some reflection on ones thoughts.
ok good news for JF-17 and Pakistan but I want to ask one more thing which I was thinking that ok Russia wont or didn’t want to sell Engines for Fc-10/JF-17 there can be more options
1- WS-13A as tphuang said
2- Than why shouldn’t PAF buy more J-10s like erm 150+ I don’t think there will be an unaffordable price difference for choosing J-10 rather than JF-17 it ll be few hundred millions or perhaps 1/2billion $ or more but J-10s is also far better aircraft than JF-17
One set back can be the dream of self reliance will be affected but China has never let PAK down and I don’t think it can happen in near future China might allow Pakistan to participate in some other joint projects or even license Pakistan to build some components or the whole J-10 in near future well just a thought ..........
China confident Russia will allow fighter jet sale to Pakistan - reportI told people, WS-13A is not that far off. If the Russians don't sell it, China just won't take in more RD-93 and they won't even get paid for 100 RD-93.
I think we are this artical published a month earlier? It was supposed to be publish on 1st Dec 2006 as mentionedAn incredible statement from Mr. Li Pei, development director at China's Chengdhu Aircraft Industry Group, which is leading the programme and also involved in the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. It is the first time that Klimov Director General Alexander Vatagin has ever acknowledged that they will sell the RD-93 to Pakistan. Indicates a world of change in Russian attitudes towards Pakistan.

honestly, you need to read more closely. From the Jane article.China confident Russia will allow fighter jet sale to Pakistan - report
BEIJING: China is optimistic it will win permission from Moscow to use Russian engines in a new multi-role fighter to be sold to Pakistan, the Financial Times reported, citing a senior official involved in the project.
Citing Li Pei, head of development of the Xiaolong at China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corp (CATIC), the newspaper said Moscow was now expected to approve the sale to Pakistan by the end of 2006 or in January next year.defenctalk (Chinese news paper)
However, Russia's state arms trading agency, Rosoboronexport, dismissed suggestions that Moscow was set to allow the re-export of engines as 'premature and unfounded,' the newspaper added.

Well still Russia Didnt given permission, it just a China media hype
But Sir , i don't think Janes will do that much blunder insted of putting 1 Nov 2006 , they published 1 Dec 2006. Morover do anyone have original Link? of just 2 lines of this artical on janes Site?honestly, you need to read more closely. From the Jane article.
"Li reversed this view of the JF-17 programme when questioned by Jane's at a press briefing organised by Klimov during the China Air Show 2006. He was flanked on the podium by senior officials from both Klimov and the Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport."
I guess the senior officials from klimov and Rosoboronexport mean nothing to you.
they had an airshow in China called the Zhuhai airshow. They came out publically and said these things, I really don't think they can get this wrong. But Sir , i don't think Janes will do that much blunder insted of putting 1 Nov 2006 , they published 1 Dec 2006. But still, they are not the policy maker , Still their is NO CHANGE IN RUSSIAN OFFICAL STANCE till now and they (senior officials from both Klimov ) is not the policy and decision maker.they had an airshow in China called the Zhuhai airshow. They came out publically and said these things, I really don't think they can get this wrong.
you can believe whatever you choose to believe. But the fact is this, Russian gov't can't openly admit to allowing RD-93 transfer due to their relationship with India. Having CAC, Klimov and the Rosoboronexport say this is about as much of a public statement as you can get.But still, they are not the policy maker , Still their is NO CHANGE IN RUSSIAN OFFICAL STANCE till now and they (senior officials from both Klimov ) is not the policy and decision maker.
This thing will only be clear by Putin himself directly and INDIA and RUSSIA already on the vearge of making militry alliance and share a trust.
India moved out from Europian Galileo Project and not inventing more 300 Million USD now and will invest in Russia GLONASS GPS System for military use of both country and joint markting. Do you expect Russia will anger India with for a small deal.
Moreover RUssia and China dont share the same relation that russia is with India. Russia knows Only China is depended on Russia for arms they cant buy things from US or Europe whicle India can.
So if India get upset it can goto US or EUROPE for buying but if china upset if canot go anywhere it has to deal with RUSSIA. Their are other which will help in making the decision.
That is because the article will be published in JDW's December Magezine. But Sir , i don't think Janes will do that much blunder insted of putting 1 Nov 2006 , they published 1 Dec 2006. Morover do anyone have original Link? of just 2 lines of this artical on janes Site?

That was before the deal was stalled, before Pakistan asked for an extension in the deadline for the signing of LOA (Letter of Acceptance). With regards to the F-16 deal, the CnC, ACM Tanvir Mahmood Ahmad said that the PAF will probably execute the 18 F-16C/D aircraft option - raising the Block 52+ fleet to 36.
The interview was made in early October; and an agreement was signed by the PAF and U.S around the same time (Link). That was before the deal was stalled, before Pakistan asked for an extension in the deadline for the signing of LOA (Letter of Acceptance).
