More C-17's for the RAF

I think that may be a Belfast.

Big mistake for the RAF to get rid of them, IMO. Should have developed it further, & tried to flog it to the French. A mix of Transalls for short-range work, & Belfasts for bigger loads or longer ranges, would have suited both the RAF & AdlA, IMO. Same engine, too. That mix might also have appealed to others.
agreed would have been like the C27J and C130 but larger. God to think of the missed opportunities of British industry over the last 60 year's.

To Whomever Is Concerned About Weight Carrying Spec's

THERES a poster in our area...it states..RANGE WITH A [80 TON PAYLOAD]...2400 NM. AND another section says MAXIMUM PAYLOAD..169,000 lb thats 84.5 US TONS (sorry i dont do metrics it gives me a headache). i dont mean any ill will im just defending my bird (called the MOOSE) by the way(ok . laugh) and what i hear on the inside. thanks :)
