The photo above and the assesment of Global News plus Leonardo own press conference, shown again why M346F Block 20 going to be Hawk 109/209 replacement.

This aircraft shown compatibility with Rafale, it is also already wired for MICA. While it may be not the longest range BVR in the market, but it is already confirm will be the missile that going to equip Indonesia Rafale.

Either way, with Indonesia already out from F-15EX, while shown F-16 will not be further upgrade and means going to be phase out later on, LCA and MRCA compatibility going to be needed as stages pilot development.

Hawk 209 does have armament and missile compatibility with F-16. This shown that TNI-AU is going to move on from previous stages combo toward new combo of LCA and MRCA staging arrangement.

Keris FB mash two take off video at one frame. The above video is Rafale from 12th Sq, and below ones is F-16 from 16th Sq. Both without armament and take off from same starting point. Shown how Rafale need shorter runway to take off. For TNI-AU it means Rafale can theoritically be deploy on more B and C class Air Base that usually have shorter runway.

Embrear bring KC-390 to Halim Perdanakusuma AB in Jakarta. Clearly Embrear heat up their KC-390 in Southeast Asia market, and particularly to C-130 users.

Put screen shot from Kompas TV Life video on TNI-AU trial for Southern Sumatra Toll Highway as emergency runway. They use Super Tucano and F-16 for the purpose. The trial being conducted this morning at Sumatra time.

Photos from Brazilian embassy on KC-390 marketing visit to Jakarta Halim AB. Embrear realy heat up their campaign against C-130 users. Personally for Indonesia it is a long shoot as Indonesia already put money for C-130J and A-400M. Also 20 surviving C-130H being sloted for airframe and avionics upgrade.

However from what I heard, by bringin KC-390, Embrear try to provide more economics alternative against Airbus MRTT.

I just saw it on - YouTube
, but this is a once in a life time experiment probably. I have never seen a tollroad/highway like this, no traffic separators, no signs, lights, vangrails, just a kilometers long wide open space. So this is probably a highway under construction, and this can not be compared to the way the Flygvapnet operates on normal roads.

It is already functional highway, they just remove separators, and clean up the highway for potential debris. Similar thing what Singapore have done.

TNI-AU already done this with Jagorawi on the 80's with F-5. However it is just prove of concept as at that time Jagorawi was still the only toll highway available. Now with much more toll highways available, it seems they are trying to build operating procedure between toll operators and TNI-AU on how to convert portion of toll highway as emergency runway ASAP.

Add:

Shorter video version on the trials.

Another angle video, and shown the highway separators being taken away first to clear all four lines as one runway. Still it's less then 30m width, thus less wider with standard A and B class Air Base runway of 45m. This is more in line C class Air Base runway.

Seems officially the talk with Pakistan more on training and infrastructure development. Rumours talk on how to leverage PAF recent data centric network integration of Western and Chinese aero assets. Thus they want to see if PAF experience on building their own network, can be add on Link ID development.

Thus the talk on JF-17 or Pakistan Drone officially not being in Agenda. Rumours say after Prabowo and Trump talk during next trade signing, Indonesia will then decide what strategy being choose.

Swiderek Maciejka FB shown photo on the TNI-AU 4th Rafale B. Guess if batch 1 stay at 6 (as previously expected due to stages of contract), then it is 4 Rafale B and 2 Rafale C.

Add:
It is seems confirm the total 42 contract divide into 16 Rafale B and 26 Rafale C. Will that all 16 Rafale B going to be in 1 sq or disperse toward all 3 sq remain to be seen.

It is all about economics cooperation. Not mention much on defense. Something that going to crush the dream of some local enthusiats that continue dreaming F-15EX or F-16V even F-35. Well the day is not over yet.

Still shown how Trump and can be call Republican more interested to get more business and secure market access amid China rise in Asia.

The United States and Indonesia commend the massive commercial deals reached of approximately $33 billion worth of investment in agriculture, aerospace, and energy in the United States – further increasing U.S. exports to Indonesia. This includes:
  • Purchases of approximately $15 billion of U.S. energy commodities.
  • Procurement of commercial aircraft and aviation-related goods and services of approximately $13.5 billion, including from Boeing.
  • Purchases of over $4.5 billion of U.S. agricultural products.
So it is official that no Aero Defence deal is part of trade agreement. Only commercial Aero deal. The rest is Oil and Gas and Agricultural. Agricultural already business as usual, Oil and Gas means some changes from ussual supplier.

Add:
Notice that the price that for Commercial Aircraft and Supports is similar with DSCA price tag for F-15EX and support. Thus basically Boeing loose Defense Contract and gain Commercial Contract on similar value.

- Indonesia needs oil and gas.
- Garuda Indonesia still has around 49 737 MAX 8 on order, but it is unclear yet how many of these will be converted to MAX 10 or if the order stay for only the MAX 8 variant.
- From which i understand, Indonesia already imports a lot of soybeans and wheat from the US.

But still i am thinking about replacement of the 737-2X9 Surveiller. Well, maybe that is a subject for next time.

PAL P-6 MPA through Gulf States export financing. At least so far it is the type that seems got traction. AEW that Havelsan and DI work, rumours either CN-235/295 base or Business Jet base like Embrear or Bombardier.

Garuda Indonesia still has around 49 737 MAX 8 on order,
Rumours from Garuda Creditors and Investor circle talk about combination of 737-10 and 787-10. Those to replace some of 737-800 and A330-200/300. Trump tweet in X of 777X as part of deal, but seems Garuda planners and Boeing talk before on those two types. Some talk of 787-10 as Garuda ambitions is to strengthen Asia-Pacific network, and 787-10 fit better on regional routes then longger range 787-9. Danantara as SOE holding now say after this trade talk signing, they and Garuda going to finalise the deal with Boeing soon.

A common business jet platform for both MPA and AEW requirements would be good.

This article explains South Korea's choice for their AEW&C program, with L3Harris / IAI winning with Bombardier Global 6500 platform and why. Turkiye is also using the Bombardier Global 6000 platform for the HAVA-SOJ airborne jammer.

But practically, trying what DI / Havelsan trying to do is already done before by other (Saab/L3Harris/IAI). Will they do something better? Unlikely and the eventual numbers purchased would be small, making such investments costly. It seems this is more national interests than financial interest.

Turkiye already has 4 Boeing 737 AEW&C and 2 Bombardier Global 6000 in AEW configuration will be added to the fleet in the near future, so it is not very likely that Turkiye will also order this AEW&C aircraft created by IPTN + Havelsan. Nobody knows how many Indonesia will order. If this aircraft can be produced for a good price, then export orders can be expected, but until now it is still an non-existing aircraft.

In this Facebook post, it is announced the PT Dahana has received the Type Certificate for the BNT-250 free fall bombs, and also received a Sertifikat Fasilitas Produksi Pertahanan.

I hadn't heard about that. Can you provide any details? All I've heard of is two Global 6000s with a Turkish EW system.
