I’d wish from the perspective of the effectiveness of the TNI-AL, that they didn’t divide the cake at all. Six frigates from three different manufacturers. With the 6 Sigmas as well? That is going to be a logistic and training nightmare. And then to start mixing and matching systems as well - ugh. It would be so much easier with a more homogenous fleet.

If they in the end can more or less simplified to just 3-4 system suppliers it is already great. Indonesian Defense procurement already know for years has patch up procurement projects. Politics and Marketing Lobby can influence that, especially when changing to new administrations.
If they can stay with current trend of mostly goes with Euro system of Aselsan and Leonardo with occasionally getting Thales. It is already (for TNI practices) relative better procurement process. TNI can not have 100% homogenous/uniform suppliers system. If they can at least have more than half uniform procurement base, it is already good progress.
Personally for me, if that means for future more then two thirds of weapon systems from Turkiye, Italia and French, then it is already relatively better situation. More domestic industry partnering with less suppliers,it is better for domestic supply chains.
However realistically it is also still potentially smaller procurement from South Korea, Japan, US, Russia and China. 100% homogenous systems will never happen for TNI practices. That's why Indonesia MinDef betting high for effectiveness of Link ID, just like Pakistan and Egypt for example also work hard to get common data gate way.

I wonder when the armament packages will be signed for the SIGMA 10514 and PPA: MM40 Block 3, MICA, Aster 15, Aster 30, 127 mm, 76 mm and 25 mm rounds. Until now even the stocks for the SIGMA 10514 is very limited or non-existing, these frigates are just empty ships now.

Naval news still inform that the plan to upgrade both PPA to Full config from present Light + still ongoing. From previous talk in media and forums, TNI-AL prever to get Aster 30, as the price not much differ then Aster 15. Thus the latest test on Regina Marina PPA for Aster 30, can also be cue on that.

From Made in Indonesia FB. Progress of two KCR (FMB) 60. Those KCR actually license design from Turkey, and not different much with two FMB 70 being build in Turkiye yard. Eventough it is stated as KCR 60, it is actually 68m.

SCMP still talk about 8 Mogami Frigates deal (4 build in Japan and 4 in Indonesia), but other rumours in here already talk the deal is in stagnan situation. Japan media talk more on second hand submarine deal as interim ones. Either way like the meeting in Seoul, Tokyo meeting also talk defense deal.

The approval from Italian Senate come after several opposition Senate member postponed the approval due to what they consider the deal benefit more to DRASS, as using Garibaldi free transfer as part of their business lobby.
So the opposition still refuse the transfer more to the arguments it is more on benefit to certain private defense industry lobby. However they are get less vote then those who approve.
For Indonesia, this Light Carrier will be use more as Drone and Helicopter carrier and Disaster Relieve. After modification that being told will cost USD 450 mio budget, the Light Carrier expected able to operate until 2040. At which time indigenous Light Carrier will be ready.

Atmaca and Aster Combo ?
I still see many Indonesian Enthusiats follow Frenchie salesman on talking 'Turkification' whenever Turkiye systems being choose. I always back to remind on this agreement between Leonardo and Roketsan, shown they are already working together for Indonesian market. PPA is using Leonardo systems, thus using Turkiye missile in PPA is something already workable.

Navy Chief at 5:50 talk about the missiles for PPA. He also hinted that further system upgrade will be conducted soon. Indicating the plan to upgrade both PPA from Light+ to Full comfiguration.

KRI Prabu Siliwangi enter Surabaya Naval Base, and reunite with KRI Brawijaya, first time after both leaving La Spezia. The Naval Chief already told in media that both PPA will have Surabaya as 2nd Fleet HQ as homebase.
In fact I will not be surprises if all larger Frigate whether PPA and later on FMP/Arrowhead 140 will be put in 2nd Fleet. While 1st and 3rd fleet will have more Light Frigate and Corvettes. Reflected the fact that 2nd Fleet still has the best naval support infrastucture from all three fleets.

From PAL FB and already couple days old, bit forgot to post it here. PAL FB shown progress some of their project. First Photo is their UUV/KSOT being shown launch two torpedo simultaneously. Second photo is their hand held laser rifle that being for low cost personel gun, aimed to guard the ship from loitering munition and kamikaze drones.
Add: Third photo is their Piranha Light Torpedo that being build for this UUV. It is claim base on acoustic guidance with 323mm diameter.

The enthusiats forums talk about ROK want to enter Frigate or even destroyer market. They forgot there's one contract that's not been resolve, DSME Batch 2 submarine. I suspect just like in KF-21, their priority in my opinion is more to resolve this.

TNI-AL spokesman confirm that the promotional nature on Russia Naval visit is there. Shown Russia now increasing their defense marketing tempo in Southeast Asia. Why not, with what Trump already did and wreck havoc in Asian market, sentiment against CAATSA begining to waver. Not saying it will be procure, but saying to US, you are loosing "trust" in Asia.

RIA Novosti claim Indonesia interest with Russia Improved Kilo class Submarine. Well all in the end back to financing package. This is why in the end unless Russia can give decent financing package, they will find hard to get back on defense export game. Consumers more and more now want financing package as they will not go toward cash financing. Perhaps Russia will provide package combo with energy deal ?
This also shown TNI-AL still looking for this interim Submarine deal. So so far the marketinh lobby are Chinese S-26T, Japanese Oyashio and now Russia improved Kilo. Italy seems satisfied enough with DRASS compact submarine Italy’s DRASS will provide six new-generation compact submarines in addition to SDVs to Indonesia - Naval News. This also indicate the interim submarine really aim to whoever source that can provide ready stock submarine ASAP, and support by acceptable financing package.

This photo from Keris FB shown 3 main PAL project, FMP 322 KRI Balaputradewa, Philipines LPD at front end of the dock and UAE LPD at back end. I have read some negative comments on the progress with FMP installation pace.
From what I gather on the instalation stages, the internal installation phases will take much of the time, and it will not be seen from outside as progress. Getting wiring, insulation, combat protection are time consuming even compare to weapons and external sensors instalation. This happen to all production stages on every vessels.

Yes, especially the Turkiye stuff. This already taken close to a year ago. From my understanding most Italian/Leonardo stuff already include on initial (non FFBNW) contract. However this also means I believe present instalation will mostly put the stuff already procured on first/inisial contract. The stuff under FFBNW contract should follow later on. This is similar with SIGMA 10514, where some of armament like MICA VL installed after stuff/assets from inisial contract being operate.

So two SRVS build by SMP and FET. Both already secure the financing which then Guarantee by UKEF. Basically eventough the FI are commercial ones, but the financing is UK export scheme.
The model for SMP SRVS with mothership build by BTI partner yard in Batam.
While FET SRVS is smaller one but able to dive until 600m+ Indonesian Navy awards contract for new submarine rescue vehicle, which being talk to get into the depth or close to depth on KRI Nanggala accident. This SRVS that being talk can be mate with new Hydrographic vessel KRI Canopus.
