Hyundai HHI Shipyard got Polish Shipyard as partner to engage domestication for Orka Submarine program. HHI provide their own design to engage with the bid. If they got the deal, HHI will have their first export and become 2nd ROK Shipyard that manage export Submarine after DSME/Hanwha Ocean.

Note:
This HDS-2300 design they are pitching in my opinion externally share similarities with DSME 2000 that their rival try to export to Southeast Asian Market. Wondering if they are sharing some IP with DSME/Hanwha Ocean.

An unknown patrolboat of the Damen Fast Crew Supplier 4008 design was recently spotted in the Netherlands sailing from the Headquarters of Damen in Gorkum to the sea, very likely for sea trials. "RSS Barracuda P501" was painted on the vessel, but it is actually sure this vessel is not for the Royal Singapore Navy, the Royal Syrian Navy or the Armada española but for het Surinaams Nationaal Leger.

The Surinaamse government has signed a contract for the six years lease of a sea-going patrolboat.

A FCS 4008 boat has a lengte van 41,2 meter, a width of 8,7 meter and has a maximum speed of 30 knts. A crew of eight is sufficient.

Naval News talk about Qatari Navy Corvettes base Navy means limited capabilities for AAW. Interesting they are choosing to equip LPD for AAW purpose instead on larger Frigate base. Seems puting LPD as multipurpose amphibious and combatan as solutions that attract them.

Perhaps this LPD also can be use as mother ships for smaller Rigid Hull boats for interdiction purposes. Thus mother ships for litoral interdiction and having AAW capabilities to cover them.

Another potential entry into the MPA market is the C-390 so along with the P-8 and A321XLR there may be 3 large jets, a turboprop, and a several business jets competing for market share, getting somewhat crowded.

Well, dont forget the Kawasaki P-1. And there are more than just one turboprop MPA...

Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias rejects the four LCS vessels proposed by the United States, citing their unresolved propulsion system issues, which would cost $50 million each to repair.

And when the vessels are in service with the Hellenic Navy, the maintenance and operational costs will be undoubtedly huge.

Myanmar Navy officially inducted new Frigate call King Thalun as their biggest Frigate so far. Other sources state including HI Sutton before talk this ship will have 16 Cell VLS and 8 SSM. As expected all will be Chinese made. It is larger then previous class of 108 m King Kyan Sittha Frigate that more be classified as Light Frigate. All build domestically in their yards.

Despite recent success of rebel army in Western Border area, including holding Western Border coastal area, most of Myanmar coastal area including their main ports still hold by Tatmadaw regime. The naming of their Frigates/Capital ships of previous Myanmar Kings symbolize in my opinion of Tatmadaw picturing themselves as continuation of Myanmar Kingdom.

Since i haven't seen it mentioned:

Portugal signed a contract with STM in Turkey for two "NRE+" light AORs.

The two ships will replace NRP Berrio (former RFA Blue Rover). Berrio had to be decommissioned in 2020 due to its bad state with a planned service life extension cancelled, although this extension was only planned to run until the new ships were commissioned anyway.

Planned construction is 2025-2028 with an unnamed Turkish shipyard. STM provides the design and is apparently the general contractor.
The pricetag for the ships is supposedly "very cheap". Portugal only assigned a 100 million Euro budget to the project when it issued the tender.

Apparently this is also the first military export to another NATO member for Turkish shipbuilders.

€100 million for two of such ships is indeed very cheap. Big chance these ships will be based on the Yüzbaşı Güngör Durmuş class of replenishment oilers.

The price is being somewhat hotly contested in Portuguese defense forums too. I've seen some people hinting that STM is also bidding in other Portuguese tenders in which a winner has yet to be selected (such as the SEWACO project for upgrading the CMS on frigates and OPVs) and that there may have been deals in that regard.

And the North Koreans want to join the Year End Party with their latest reveal, an AAW frigate/destroyer. This was not on my bingo card.

Ah, everyone scribbling down the Supreme Leader's words of wisdom! What it must be to have an omniscient leader!

Our leader has no wisdom and fortunately we don’t have to scribble SFA. Even better he might be gone in the new year. Maybe some day NK might enjoy such a new year.

The silhouette of Kim's new Frigate shown similarities with Tamadaw new Frigate and seems both relate to Chinese design. Kim's potentially new flat aray radar, shown similarities with Type 52D placement.

Tatmadaw Frigate use Chinese Missiles and VLS. Will see how Kim's new Frigate going to be equipped with.

Likely Pongae-5 or Pyoljin 1-2 missiles and the Hwasal-2 SSM. The aperture of the radars are small, so expect limited range. Maybe a Najin frigate replacement.

Some of these new weapons feels like Kim waking up and seeing what US/SK has and him telling his crew that "I want something like that", regardless of doctrine/CONOPS or how relevant/irrelevant it is. A large frigate like this is just a juicy target and are not really surviable.

Put it here, as this video talk more on latest AEGIS implementation toward couple clients designs. In this case Canadian River class and Spain F110. Asside the progress on AEGIS implementation on the design, also talk on potential upgrade especially missiles portfolio in VLS.

Naval News on the progress of BAE System Adaptable Deck Launcher system. As the name shown this is the non penetrative deck launcher system that build around cells base on Mk41 Cells. However also as angled deck possition, designed to be more easier to reloaded in sea then VLS.
