Singapore was one of the earlier arms supplier to Croatia - during the Balkan War (not sure if it is the correct name).

We supplied Ultimax 100 SAWs, and maybe some other stuff. With Croatia now independent and building its military, I wonder if we still have our grubby little hands in the pot?:)

We certainly have enough stuff that Croatia would find useful.

Thanks........:)
Can you give me some link about BSD (paratroopers)
Nothing on wikipedia, or google, only some you tube vid.
Are paratroopers have its own unit in BSD, or not.
Anyone know?

No ,i think all troops in the BSD special forces are trained as paratroopers and its skills as in many other feilds. Give me time to find the info or site bout them i had it before but i lost it in a file deletion so i have to find it again.

SIMIG 2000 is an indoor simulator for Man-portable Air Defense System (MANPADS) 9K310 "Igla" (SA-16), which simultaneously supports technical and tactical proficiency training, as well as operator's mental readiness evaluation. The simulator purpose is training of the novice operators, as well as maintaining the proficiency of the professional ones. The accurate simulation of "Igla" subsystems, including 6DOF missile dynamics model and missile seeker, facilitates highly valuable training. SIMIG 2000 is based on a high-performance multi-processor computer system, which provides real-time simulation of sophisticated missile model and multiple target dynamics, simultaneously visualizing the virtual training environment.
Main features are: VR 3D environment for 360º horizontal and 90º vertical FOV; Image displayed on Head Mounted Display, 45º diagonal FOV; Psychophysiological stress indicator monitoring; Control of target trajectory parameters; IR interference simulation: natural - sun, clouds, reflections, and artificial flares; Different types of targets, like fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, helicopter, cruising missile etc.

Croatia is modernizing army along the NATO lines, this also means equipment and training.

Right now Cro-MOD has/is purchased/ing 80 Iveco LMV's - these are light APC's armed with kongsberg Protector remote firing station http://www.kongsberg.com/images/artikler/32978/finland.jpg
Noumber of Iveco' LMV's will rise I am sure of it, long term - Croatia needs 200-250 of these.

126 AMV Patria's are on order and these will be delivered over next 3-4 years in 2012 additional 126 Patria might be order (from original requirement of 252 vehicles). Patria's will be armed with the PROTECTOR M151, Nemo 120mm mortar turret, and Israeli RCWS Spike/12.7/20mm turret.

M84A4 will most likely be upgraded to a D standard (Israelis are helping here with new ammo, and few safety features) but overall I do not like idea of M84D as it is basically a Russian tank and does not really fit with in NATO. Anyways 84 of these tanks will be upgraded to a D standard, Croatia has 84 of these, 77 M84A4, 3 T72 (being upgraded to M84D) and 2+2 M84D and M95 prototypes.

VHS riffles are being tested and these will most likely be ordered, Croatia needs 50-100 000 of these, new uniforms where just unveiled...

Logistics component received loads of attention in recent months, Croatian army ordered 550 new transport trucks (4x4, 6x6 and heavy trucks), 300 4WD jeeps and few other bits.

Problem is Heavy Artillery, light Artillery, battlefield sensors, artillery radars, self propelled artillery, mortars and list goes on.

Basically army needs to upgrade, but with little will and money. NATO is one who is pushing Croatia to modernize its armed forces, and perhaps now things will finally start to move.

Navy is now looking at 4-5 large corvettes 120m 2000+ tons and few extra bits. 12 New patrol boats will also be joining Croatian Coast guard, specs are 45-55m, 40-45knots speed, crew of 15-20 armed with 20-40mm auto canon and 2x12.7mm HMG.

Few large supply/support ships, new training ship/yacht, 2-3 minesweepers and a research and survey ship. But these are longer term plans (after 2012).

Airfroce - 12-14 combat planes (now it seems EF2000 is preferred choice),
10-14 Mill 171Sh might be supplemented by additional western helicopters, either AS 532 Cougar (4-8 are needed) or NH90's, but these won't be ordered before 2012, also 6-8 ASW helicopters, either AS 565 Panther for Maritime Patrol, SAR and ASW or NH90's. NH90 being quite expensive I think AS 565 might win the day, anyways these won't be joining before 2012.

Air Force just ordered 2 more Cl415's from Canada and 3 AT802's just joined the AF, as well as 5 Zlin 242L (3 more might be ordered).

there are plans for loads more, but since money is a big issue...

lol The finnish boat is about 25 years old, more of a P.O .S(piece of s***) then anything else. No offence. Not saying though we have anything better, actually much worse. :eek:nfloorl: More of a political trick to calm us down knowing that our navy is probly in the worst shape in the whole wide world.

So ure saying that we have 164 tanks( 77+84+3)lol? :D

Frigates? prbly will stop and change their mind like in the godwind project and say some excuse how theirs a better way, and start building yahts for our navy :0
Since in Kraljevica they have only signed a mega yaht deal not a military deal that our "famous media" has been yapping about for years. Geezz our's are worse then the western tabloids.

Radars & artillery? oh that, dont worry we'll probly get our first one's in a hundred years or so if our MOD even remembers. Prbly write a hundred articles on radars by then saying our non-active POS radars are adequate.

VHS rifles? they said that for almost the past year.

LMV's oh theyll just send them to afghanistan like every new system we get!
We dont even have a proper and well defined military doctrine n yet 17 year's has passed by. Funny eh?

Air defence? hahah i rather trust my own umbrella for protection then our PZO. 9 strela anti-air systems wow eh? n you wana know what's their solution? 3 more ahahaha

every time now i laugh when i see our article's on our military(cant believe u could find that much BS in ure life time)

i can see why our country is one of the most diversed country out there, cauz it seem's we're the only one's doing this to ourselve's.
