Comparing anti-missile systems in the world

Those EW radars are ideal for detection of stealth fighters and bombers ... than you send some MIG-31 to do the job and problem sold .. but lets not go offtopic ...

What about the horizon problem that stems from their land-based nature?

What about the horizon problem that stems from their land-based nature?
There is no problem with horizon. - Wave length spectrum used in that kind of radars is in meter- semi- meter diapsone. In that diapasone there is a posibility to use earth- surface- ionosphere waveguide, so radiowaves propagates in atmosphere around earth surface. To simplify let's say waves reflects many times between earth and highly ionized atmosphere stratum. There are some problems with compenstion of ionosphere noise in case of very excited ionosphere (high solar activity (you could see Aurora Borealis that time) or nuclear explosion in high atmosphere in worse case). And actually that diapasone very good for "Stealth"- technology aircraft location indeed as body geometry of modern stealth crafts and coating do not affect much such a long wave interactions with aircraft- It optimised for common traking and homing radars of SAM's wich works in sani- meter diapasone.

So they're natural GCI for Russian Fulcrums against say an F-22A strike force? or for Foxhounds intercepting a B-2 strike?

As far as countering dummy warheads and countermeasures, check out this new video from earlier this month of the multiple kill vehicle. As far as i know, a missile would be packed with a bunch of the all locked on to seperate targets to negate the threat of multiple countermeasures or warheads. Pretty cool too!

Does it remind you of Star Wars at all? (the movie not Reagan legacy!)

The U.S. must develop more of this ABM system.

STAR WARS program could it be started again.

Rogue states like North Korea and Iran have more missiles now than before.
