Georgian medians reports russians bomb more infrastructure, including sea port in Poti. This is either Georgian hysteria, or, as i predicted, russians try to punish Georgians as much as possible before tomorrow cease fire.
Good luck airlifting that on damaged runways.I'm watching CNN and they are saying that Georgia wants the US to airlift the 2000 Georgian troops in Iraq back home to help fight the Russians.
Actually, how is 2000 troops from Iraq gonna do a work that the whole of Georgian's troops and military from georgian soil cant do? This is just a publicity stunt to force US to intervene and save the geroian's presidents a**.I'm watching CNN and they are saying that Georgia wants the US to airlift the 2000 Georgian troops in Iraq back home to help fight the Russians.
Seems rather like usual panic due to unexpected russian response.Lomaia , chief of NSC of georgia is talking live in CNN saying that,
- Georgia has detected Russian planes headed towards tbilisi.
- Georgia has evacuated gov buildings in Tbilisi.
- They are preparing for WAR with Russia.
-State of emergency is going to be announced in a few hours.
Looks like its gonna become an all out war.
Meh...at least it's Georgian.Oh my - is this a Russian T-72BM.
Have you noticed that all of the destroyed tank photos being shown in this little skirmish seem to have their turrets uprooted.Meh...at least it's Georgian.
The 1991 Gulf War was pretty much the nail in the coffin for T-72 exports to any customers of importance, anyway.
Well, those troops could be airlifted to Turkey first and then helicoptered to Georgia's rear areas (those that Russians hadn't bombed yet); perhaps theHow do they plan on getting into airspace prowled by Russian air force jets and with no civilian aircraft (which probably means ROE will be greatly relaxed) without at the very least being intercepted and being forced to land. And if after they manage to get in, how are they going to land on destroyed airstrips and runways?
The U.S is not going to risk bringing in aircraft over hostile territory, if they do it will be to pick up the U.S advisors and that will be coordinated with Russia and Georgia.Well, those troops could be airlifted to Turkey first and then helicoptered to Georgia's rear areas (those that Russians hadn't bombed yet); perhaps the
V-22s now in Iraq could also be utilized in this- to prove their real worth!
According to media report I read today (there been many) there were a 1000 advisors and other staff there now there around 300. It suggests US had advanced warning of possible attack because reduction of advisors suggest their mission to train had ended. US should have relised this.=eckherl;150096]The U.S is not going to risk bringing in aircraft over hostile territory, if they do it will be to pick up the U.S advisors and that will be coordinated with Russia and Georgia.
I would not know if they had advanced warning or not, this will most likely be debated here in the U.S after the smoke settles. If US did help, it would be interpretated by Russia as aggression by US. They will rightly claim US has choosen to side military with Georgia by providing militairy planes to transport US trained Georgia troops to the battlefield.

I used your comment as reference to the hundreds of advisors in Georgia. I just thought it was suspicous. Like you correctly stated after the "smoke settles" stuff will leak out about US involvement or lack off it.I would not know if they had advanced warning or not, this will most likely be debated here in the U.S after the smoke settles.
