l'll try. As you know we are still paying last government's orders of military equipment. And let's say that in some years we will not have enough money to pay the pensions (you read greek newspapers, don't you?). Anyway, I don't want to be off-topic... I think that Ι made myself clear. Buying two different IFVs is not wise... Not only for Greece but for most countries. We could just buy initially CV90 or Puma instead of BMP-3 if we wanted to.Dude can you help me out here because am confused
Greece defence budget for 2006-2010 was set to about 11-12 billions euros

Any rumors of ERA kits being added to the purchase package. There are reports that the final contract for the deal to be signed will include 419 BMP-3M with a potential additional number of BMP-3F and BREM-L attached to it. The offer will include partial delivery from Russia, and set up of indigenous licensed production.

More source of the same news. European companies are offering ERA's but not sure is Greece is taking it.
if you have the idea that greece have small army then your are wrong,it is better to search before talk.friendly :500 vehicles for such small army, and for such price cant be really "stopgap". They will serve for at least 10 years. And lets face it, EVERY current IFV will be rather old in 10 years.
