After all the delay finally Boeing let her have first flight. Now will Boeing going to still move forward with longer range 777-8 or as some rumours say, more dense 777-10.

Add:

To clear up, this is not first flight of the type, but more first flight of production plane. This is first flight from first Lufthansa owned 777-9 as launch customer.

put a couple of racks under each wing for things that go bang ands decent search radar you never know it could make a very respectable medium range MPA
It is remarkable that this chinese company didn't choose for the AVIC AG600, designed and built by the chinese themselves and with more capacity. Maybe they have problems with getting the Ukrainian engines, but china should be able to copy/reverse engineer (like they normally do) these turboprops,.

I think unlikely to be more for the UAE. They already have five, which should be plenty. Saudi Arabia's looking for an E-3 replacements, & has some SAAB 2000 Erieye in service, so that's a possibility. Two seems a small number considering its size, though.

The US Federal Aviation Administration said on Monday that seats on around 453 Boeing 737 MAX jets registered in the US may require inspections in case they were incorrectly installed and needed to be fixed.

If not corrected, the seats could injure passengers and crew members during an emergency landing or block the aisle and slow an evacuation, the agency said.

And this Ryanair Boeing needs some new tyres.
Premature braking caused multiple-tyre burst as Ryanair 737 Max landed with anti-skid inoperative
