Welcome to all new members.

Good to see another Kiwi join the group Future_Pilot. I visited the Taranaki region a few years ago and passed through New Plymouth but didn't spend much time there. It's good to see a young person taking an interest in NZ's defence force. Good luck with your aim of becoming a RNZAF pilot.

Cheers

Tas

Good to see there are alot of people after my own heart...I'm new here...question : I read a story about an Australian on a troop transport to North Africa during WWII. Somewhere in the Indian Ocean, he wrote a letter to his unborn child, put it into a bottle and threw it overboard...to make a long story short, he was killed in North Africa, but several decades later (I'm talking like 30-40 years later), some person found it in Northern Australia on the coast and tracked down his daughter and gave her the note...can any of you Aussies confirm (and I know there's alot of you out there)?...if true, its one of the most touching stories I've ever heard......

hi!

hey folks! for a moment i was wondering if i would be the oldest on here, but it's good to see that i'm not (the first page of intro's had me just a little worried, lol).

I'm Karly, 20 year old female from Victoria, Australia. My wonderful man is in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF for anyone that didnt already know that), doing ADG training. I am a proud RAAF girlfriend. although i don't particularly like the RAAF, cos we are in different states at the moment, lol.

i'm pretty laid back and cilled about most things in life. i'm studying a Bachellor of Ministry at Tabor Bible Colledge, and DP (defence partner...my man) reckons i should become a Padre when i'm done. (like i would ever pass the fitness tests!)

i dont really know all that much about the ADF (Australian Defence Force), or any other nations Defence Forces for that matter, but i'm here to learn!

you probably all already know what that abbreviations i've used mean, but this is literally my first 10 minutes on this site, and i havent had a chance to read the forums yet, so i thought i'd include all the meanings just in case.

anyway, i look forward to getting to know you lot! say hi to me! i like a good chat about stuff. lol.

Karly. :) :p: :D
lol, those smileys pretty much sum up my life outlook, lol.
