Good Evening Ladies And Gents
This is my first post on the site and I must say its pretty fab, anyways, I read in the paper two days ago that a scottish MSP( Mike Matteson) is trying to introduce a bill making it illegal to fire nuclear weapons from scottish terriotry(I assume this also extends to the 12nm limit at sea) , this would mean that and prime minister would be criminally acountable for their use.
Now my question is this, do the MPs really know so little, as to think that the use of one or a few weapons against a rougue state would be fired whilst in faslane? Would the boat on patrol in international waters not have the firing task? If the we were in a situation where the RN had to salvo as many trident missiles as possible and "fire from the pier" then surely this would be in response to a massive attack on the UK? and in which case would faslane, the scottish parliment or indeed the UK government still exist to bring criminal procceddings? I look forward to your thoughts on this
