How does China not get the tech?

They will have the Irbis and the AL-41

those 2 things are light years ahead of anything they got and will boost their radar and engine game

First of all. If and when China get the Irbis and 117S, they can't assimilate it on the floor.
It takes looong time. The radar tech is one thing, but the written algoritm codes(software) is another issue.
China has to understand it, be able to construct it etc etc..

And regarding the Engines..
See the Russian exported AL-31F and AL-31FN engines.. China can't produce a replica with the same quality and in the numbers needed for PLAAF.
They keep reqesting more engines, i'll doubt the last deal is their very last.

I would agree that the PLAAF is probably more interested in the thrust vectoring technology, having planned for it in the J-20, but the current prototypes were built without it.

Right now the problem with the final acquisitions of this 6 Flankers related to allocation of the budget. Of USD 1 bio credit line provided by Russia to Indonesia for acquisition of Russian made defense equipment, around USD 700 mio still exists. The Parliament wanted the Min-Def use that facility to finance this 6 Flankers. While Russian demand those Flankers being financed by commercial credit line.

The commercial credit line already allocated, the hurdle only in the Parliament that still demand on using State Facility credit line from Russia, and not Commercial Credit line. Russia did not want to give the rest of State Credit line for Flankers since they want the line being used for other stuff than Flankers.

But yes, the crash of Sukhoi Super-jet will not have anything to do with the Flankers deal. The two Airline that ordering Sukhoi 100 already indicated that they will continue with the deal, if the finding show non-significant technical problem on the Sukhoi Airliner.

The recent order by India was for 42 A/cs not for 130. In total India is planning for 270 aircraft (2 ordered out of 42 are for attrition replacements).

Total ordered from Russian manufacturers would be for 130 (starting from the contract signed for 50 A/Cs in 1996) and license production of 140 from HAL

Indian total orders are for 272 aircraft. Out of which, 130 have yet to be delivered.

Well, dragonfire are right about the initial 42 MKI's.
They will be Irkut produced aka super MKI.

After that we just have to wait n see, but mostly kits delivered i think.

Apparently a deal for 24 Su-35S with China is in precontract negotiations right now. They must be desperate to get exports for the aircraft, if they're willing to risk Chinese exposure for such a small price.

Anyway, i wonder what the price of 24 Su-35S will land on.

And how will China go about integrate their weapons on the Su-35S export?
And which designation will it be.. Su-35MKK or Su-35..?

Probably Su-35K, or Su-35E. M stands for modernized.

Russia just approved a loan/credit line to Bangladesh for the purchase of Su-27s and 12 Yak-130s. If this and the chinese deals go through, KnAAPO will be very busy in coming years with VVS Su-35S production, T-50 production (a handful of prototypes for training are to be delivered to the VVS next year) and continuing Su-27SKM production.

Bangladesh wants to buy Russia
