China reveals "snowy owl", 5th gen fighter with VTOL capabilities?

A quick google search came up with nothing bar a few other forums talking about it.

That being said, it'd be an interesting design to see.

One wonders that perhaps are they thinking of using a VTOL aircraft like the USMC does as i'd expect China to be perfectly capable (and would probably prefer) to be able to operate conventional aircraft carriers with conventional carrier aircraft launch/recovery

Again that use of canards on a platform supposed to be LO. It really makes me wonder. Even the PAK-FA compromises some LO features, for maneuverability. This is a much bigger compromise. I also have to wonder about engines.

I was thinking that too.

Im not stealth expert however I do believe that Canards make your RCS higher correct?

I noticed it on both the J-20 and now this white owl.

The J-20 I want to state the obvious, but it would probably spark a forum debate so I would rather not..

However the white owl I cannot understand why it has canards

The top (head on) pic in that link appears to be a slightly manipulated F-35C image, and the bottom is clearly CGI/Photoshop.

The bottom looks a lot like a modified Flanker image. I guess that should've been a give away.

F-35A I think. It's got the internal gun bay above the port air intake...

sorry if its been posted already. IDK if this is rumors or not but I found it on multiple sites, and on youtube
And I didn't realise we'd hit April the first yet?

Come on guys. Those two photos on that webpage are COMPLETELY different. One shows a head on F-35.

The other is a photo-shopped idea of an aircraft.

These stories first circulated over a year ago and nobody took much notice then. In fact I am pretty sure that the OP is relating to exactly the same source as before.

New Chinese platforms follow a fairly well trod path from rumour to unveiling and have never debuted in a Taiwan based website.

found out the supposed designation it is j-21/f-60. Looking at the pictures it seems not to be VTOL but conventional. It is probably a air superiority fighter unlike the J-20 which is more of a strike aircraft.

for better images of the model see (scroll down to the bottom of the page.

from a Chinese website, not sure how acurate this one is but here's the link
F60, Chinese new stealth fighter
Anyone can make scale models of aircraft... anyone can make photoshops of aircraft...

Right now this aircraft is pretty much nothing but a design with a pretty model to go along with it, that people pay any attention boggles the mind when theres so much FUD surrounding the only 5th gen project that is actually presenting factual information to the public about its testing and development.

Mate, there was no need for the last sentence (now deleted). It was unnecessary. The OP made no such claims and was quite clear in not endorsing its validity and he gave links for others to make a call. He refers to model.
