That I could not tell you. The only mention of tri-prop is the original Bf 108 (before the Bf 108A) which was a two seater but the B model states four seater, a two bladed prop and adding a tailwheel instead of a skid.

Since your photo already has a tailwheel and a three-bladed prop (and is a 4 seater), it's original model number is beyond me.

Photo Lufthansa Traditionsflug Messerschmitt BF108 D-1 Taifun D-EBEI

This plane claims to have the same prior FAA registration as the one you have in the pic (FAA# N54208) and looks like it was restored back to the original 2-bladed prop.

My guess is a Bf 108B (or D-1 as the site claims)
