Did the anka arise out of the disagreements with Israel? It looked like a copy of certain Israeli UAVs which shouldn't have been that difficult to adapt.

It looks to me like a generic UAV. There are quite a few similar-looking ones, from several countries.

The Turks claim they've been working on it since the early 90's so it makes no sense that it has to do anything with the recent breakdown in Turko-Israeli relations...
As far as it looking like something cast out of the same mould with Israeli UAVs I'd have to say that more or less that is correct but on the other hand we're talking aviation here. I dont think the Turks should have to build something looking like a dark matter frigate from Alpha Centauri in order for it to be cutting edge or "cool". They opted for the tried and tested design that is guaranteed to work and costs a lot less than any "innovative" approach would! Good for them and smart thinking on their behalf...

What I still dont get is why their AselFLIR has to weigh 117 kgs in contrast to the 28-31 kgs the Israeli FLIR pod weighs...Heard lots of excuses about this but I'd have to believe that this is due to the fact that building such a gadget is much more complicated than designing a glorified millions-of-dollars worth of paper-plane...
Obviously, that doesn't mean to say that they wont improve the thing over time but it's got a long ways to go yet...

Thanks,
I watched Anka's flight videos. Nice design. Its take off and landing on were quite clean.
I didnt see SAR and SATCOM. Any development?
Flir is too big, so must be heavier than the others... why?

Its still on test flights and SAR and maybe SATCOM will put on it in following days. So it will go on test flights...
FLIR is AselFlir-300T which is also used on Cobra/SuperCobra Helis. The Flir that you saw on test flisghts is fake but it is same weight and dimensions. And it will be put the following days together SAR
