Hi to all,


I am receiving D3dx9_31.dll error messages saying -

"D3DX9_31.DLL Not Found"

sometimes,
"D3dx9_31.dll not found. Reinstalling might help fix this."

what is the reason ? does anyone know.........help

Reinstalling doesn't always work... this error occurs when older programs (usually games) expect a specific version of D3D.

Google "D3DX9_31.DLL" and you'll find several sources to download the file (here's one). Unzip it and copy to c:\windows\system32

This should resolve the issue ... it does for me.

You can get it from the above link..this will help in case of your missing dll file.
I hope it may solve the issue.

i am having problems too. I tried replace D3dx9_31.dll but i cant. It says it’s protected still facing this D3dx9_31.dll not found error.. what should i do now..???

You're probably using Vista or Windows 7 ... Go to Control Panel --> Users and turn off User Access Control. You should now be able to copy the file.

After copying the file can can turn UAC back on if you want.
