While these bumper stickers can be seen today on vehicles on American bases they are equally appropriate for the 20th Century.

I think you're misquoting Reagan. He said it about the Marines, not the armed forces more broadly.

Have to agree with Feanor on that one. Reagan was referring to the Marines.

Here's a couple;
