Why does Turkey need such a big military equipments? So far Turkey doesn't have any foe of its own. Is it because Turkey thinks Israel has an enemy and procuring high tech weapons to attack Israel? OR help anti-Israeli forces in the Middle-East.

Recently I read some news that Turkey is collaborating a lot with Pakistan too on developing arms and military equipments. So what's Turkey's future direction of path, is becoming clearer.

One friend of mine, who worked in Turkey Army feels that, there is something getting rotten in Turkey. He commented that, the secular organization like Turkish Armed Forces have been infiltrated by civilian spies. These civilian spies conspiring with young Turkish officers to plot against the civilian govt so that the credibility of secularism of Turkish Force will be weakened.

Anyway, I am bit skeptical about the way Turkey is moving to.

Turkey need such a big military equipments because Turkey has many potential enemies. Turkey has a lot of valuable underground mines we can't use of them because blocked from the outside to Turkey. But that at times some of these mines were being used anyway some big country want to use these mines and doens't want strengthen of Turkey. This is why Turkey want more stronger army, stronger economy and stronger policy.
