Are you saying is a bunch of B.S. as well? I hope it is because cutting the F-35 and the Navy fleet is the dumbest idea in the history of dumb ideas.A lot of blog are more intersterested in make politics that give news
Yeah I also read an article about putting more money into the F-35 nut cutting back.A lot of blogs are using rumors to make political discusions about every new weapon in the USA.I can be wrong but smell like BS.With respect to the F-35 I can give you a couple of news showing the streng of the program

I heard thats not until 2040 though.I read in some blog(could be Information Disemination but I am not sure)that we gonna have in some moment ten ,but it is temporary(like one year)
The last I heard, from InsideDefense.com, which I pay for! They plan to do a one-for-one till 2040. When the next AC enters service in 2015, they will retire the oldest AC. Also, the USN will keep 2 AC's on "stand by", in case a war breaks out. Since China has NO AC, it's not a very big deal.. The DoD can always churn out a Carrier every 4 years, instead of the current 5.I heard thats not until 2040 though.
Decommissioned CV/CVN's (and now only CVN's) have always gone on the reserve resgister. Also, the USN will keep 2 AC's on "stand by", in case a war breaks out.

The Pentagon’s latest vision for the Navy of tomorrow does not change dramatically from its current goals — and keeps a fleet of at least 10 aircraft carriers — according to an early draft version of the Quadrennial Defense Review obtained by Navy Times.
The report, a final version of which is expected early next week along with the Navy Department’s budget submission, calls for now-familiar incremental additions to the fleet, and it generally reaffirms the utility of the sea service in defending the U.S., projecting power abroad without land bases and working with the other branches of the military.
