Well thanks for the idea my friend but I have already done the thing you suggest but that section is soo mixed so you cant found %100 correct information at there there are F-35 pictures for Turkish army it seems like we have those but we dont have them we will have it some time later(when they produced) and if I was not aware of that fact I would think that oww look at Turkey they have F 35 planes planes at airbases also there are tons of military vehicles there which will not be used in 2020 so I cant choose which one of is new or not cause I dont have detailed information about future projects...so you see and also there is no information about future plans of greece which I despratly need...

So thats why I opened this thread and dont suggest mods to close my thread its needed for me and useful for many people around which would want to learn about future equipment of these countries this is what forums for to give information to the people who needs it...

Cool, sorry.

I understand the threads are all mixed up, and some parts of the forums are just ghost towns
Yes thats the thing I want to say I belive that you understand me now.

If you have any information please share cause there must be future projects for Hellenic Army...

Turkish army had seen its weak spots like having less number of attack helicopters and old tanks and now they are working soo much on these areas to gain advantage first time in my country we begin to produce tanks helicopters etc Greece army problably has some projects to answer it.

Thank you again....

I read a report that the Turkish army was going to purchase 280 Mil-28 night attack helicopters bacuse of the delay in the Augusta-129. the report also said that these choppers would be flying alongside the Augustas once they were delivered

I dont think tht is a correct number even if there is a interest in the Mi-28s as the no of choppers to be replaced is only 31 Cobras and the order for the T-129 stands at 50 with and option of 41 more, how is 280 coming close to these numbers, doesnt make any sense. If you have read a report then you should also quote the same as source

I will also ask for the conformation(source) because the numbers you give was too much.Turkish Military expenses are too high in these days and I dont think that a new purchase going to take place...

Hmm, 10 years planing ahead, is a bit too much for Greek standards

based on what we have today

Hellenic Army Equipment At 2020 :

Tanks :a combination of Leopard 2 A6, A4 and Leopard 1 A5
Artilerry: a combination of PzH 2000 and variants of M109
Helicopters: AH-64 (probably all upgraded to D) and NH-90
Planes: F-16, M2000 and something else to be decided (huge debate)
Troop Transport: BMP-3 HEL (probably something like the M variant)
Armored Anti Air Vehicle : something like the TOR-M1 we already have?

you should probably ask at the international section of defencenet.gr

Well Turkey still didnt decide which Anti-Aircraft defence systams to purchase. The main contenders are S-400 and the most advanced Patiriot systems. Israel offerd arrow to Turkey but Turkey rejectted the offer becaause it wants a mixed one with abilities to destroy aircraft and incoming missiles.

Turkey also made its own vehical portable short range defence system which seems to be a succeses as Turkey is buying quite a large number (maybe its put in the Iranian border as many of there missile tests end up near Turkish border.

Turkey is also mass producing FNSS Pars which is a armoured troop transporter which had amazing test result while doing trial in harsh desert conditons (in the UAE) and was able to withstand the bad conditons.

Well, Turkeys Altay project (clone of the S.Korean K2 Black Panther but with a differnt look and better performance) is meant to replace the M-60. Turkey said that they will intergrade Turkish technolgy and will look differnt to the K2 but wil have most of the electronics the same, but also incated that it will outperfom the K2.

T-129 ATAK is under construction and Turkey will order 50 and 41 in hand but the chances show that Turkey will purchase 91 as Turkey finds attack helicopter very usefull against the fight with the PKK.

There was also rumours going around Turkey is deciding on making it's first utilty helicopter (arikopter) and also there is a competion with AW-149 and UH-60 ''Black Hawk'' as Turkey will be building up to 100 of the helicoptes who ever the winner of the competion is. Turkey confirmed that they will buy 14 Ch-47 ''Chincook'' transport helicopters (10 for army and 4 for specil forces) and indicates that in future might purchase more.
