I know that the roles for the F-15E Strike Eagle and the F-15C Eagle are different. I was wondering though can the F-15E Strike Eagle match the F15C Eagle in the air superiority role?
The F-15E was designed to retain the F-15C air to air capability. The only issue I would be curious about with the USAF is pilot training. F-15E pilots I suspect spend the majority of their time training for air to ground task while F-15C pilots spend all their time on air to air training.I know that the roles for the F-15E Strike Eagle and the F-15C Eagle are different. Don't many countries use F-15E for air superiority like Korea? The F-15E was designed to retain the F-15C air to air capability. The F-15E also make nearly ~60,000lbs of thrust too. When it's not hauling bombs around I bet thats quite a ride.It sure can as a platform itself. The F-15E might even benefit from its twinseat layout, though the increased weight might result in some disadvantages for the maneuver performance.
That's true but higher thrust don't compensate for the increased wing loading and that will have a negative impact on the aircraft's maneuver performance. The F-15E also make nearly ~60,000lbs of thrust too. When it's not hauling bombs around I bet thats quite a ride.

I'm sure the weight increase has some effects. But then again wing loading is a variable. Also, because these are manned fighters, there is a margin of diminishing returns with regard to maneuver performance. If the F-15E is already past that point then it should not matter. Especially not in a dogfight where technology such as HOBS missiles, JHMCS technology and energy management are the dominant features now. That's true but higher thrust don't compensate for the increased wing loading and that will have a negative impact on the aircraft's maneuver performance.
